Fry Cook – Scratch Kitchen (Peoria, IL)
We are looking for an experienced Fry Cook who takes pride in the craft. This is not a "bag-to-fryer" job. We make everything fresh, and we need a pro who can handle a scratch-made line.
What You’ll Do
Hand-Bread & Batter: Prep and fry proteins and sides to order using house-made batters.
Master the Station: Manage oil quality, temps, and timing to ensure every plate is perfect.
Work Fast: Maintain high quality during busy Peoria lunch and dinner rushes.
Keep it Clean: Maintain a sanitized, organized station according to health codes.
Requirements
License: Must have a valid Illinois Food Handler License.
Experience: 1+ year(s) in a high-volume kitchen (scratch-cooking preferred).
Skills: Solid understanding of oil maintenance and breading techniques.
Physical: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
Attitude: Reliability, a sense of urgency, and a team-player mindset.
