Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement music lesson plans for Elementary to Adult Students
- Provide individual and group music instruction to students
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Incorporate music into other areas of learning, such as math and literacy education
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special needs, including those with autism or special education requirements
- Foster a love for music and encourage students' musical creativity
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the overall curriculum
Requirements or good to have:
- Degree in Music Education or related field or experience
- Knowledge of childhood development and how it relates to music education
- Familiarity with tutoring techniques and strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for music and a desire to inspire students through music education
