    A Snow Crew Member is a flexible schedule position that allows you to work when you are available (on-call, as needed). Snow shovelers are responsible for snow removal with either a manual shovel or snow removal equipment.

    As a Snow Crew Member at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

    Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested. Drive crews to the scheduled job/jobs.Perform snow removal with a manual shovelSpread salt as requestedRemove snow from storefronts using awning rakesOperate small snow blowersOperate walk-behind snow sweepersMonitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events. Follow all company policies and procedures. Perform any other duties as assigned.

    JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

    Must be self-motivated

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

    Must be able to drive to the work site or branch in adverse weather conditions

    Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently

    WORK CONDITIONS

    Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold or heat.
