Duties and Responsibilities
Material Handlers must be capable of operating all equipment and machinery associated with moving material within the shop, safely and efficiently (e.g. overhead cranes, yard truck, fort trucks)Loads and unloads structural steel onto or from trucks using overhead cranes Material Handling in different locations within the shopProficient in his/her ability to utilize a tape measure.Performs other routine dutiesObserve company safety policy while workingQualifications/Requirements
OVERHEAD CRANE EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY Basic shop math, basic mechanical skills, effectively utilize lifting devices, ability to interpret shop paperwork and work instructions, ability to verify log and procedures for accuracy.Forklift experience preferred.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, to include prolonged standing, as well as lifting and moving heavy objects, stand and reach with hands and armsJob Conditions:
Outside 90% Inside 10%.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Production Control/ Programmer to join our team at Schenectady Steel Company, Inc., in Schenectady NY. Primary roles and responsibilities:
Coordinate items release for fabrication between Project Management and the shopGenerate report for the shop(s) and/or purchasing departments (data input, cross checking reports to drawings, processing CNC programs).Receive, upload, and/or create CNC programs.Assist Supply Chain Manger with daily tasks.Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals.Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.Tracking and reporting project progress.Research information to support other team members.Assisting to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.Qualifications:
Ability to understand, interpret, and convert feet/inches/fractions, etc.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments as required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Computer proficient with Microsoft office products/ Blue beam/ Tekla a plus.Experience with Steel Fabrication preferredIT experience is a plus
