Specialists provide organic, hybrid, integrated, and all-nutrient lawn care services, as well as seeding and aeration services. As subject matter advisers in all things lawn, they use their expertise to perform soil analysis, and control insects, diseases, and unsightly weeds.

    In this role team members have the opportunity to work outside on beautiful properties in their community, spending extensive field time diagnosing problems and treating properties. Lawn Care Specialists apply expertise to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape.

    What a day is like:

    In this position Lawn Care Specialists use specialized training in diagnosing and treating diseases and/or infestations that are occurring on a client’s lawn. Lawn Care Specialists work independently, allowing team members to choose the proper product or customized blend application to be utilized in treating various lawn problems. This role also provides the opportunity to communicate with clients by providing them with comprehensive information about their lawns. Lawn Care Specialists “own” their territory and will be proud of the lawns and properties they care for.

    What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:

    A desire to grow, craves opportunity, loves problem solving and process improvementThe ability to run various types of equipment, who enjoys heavy lifting in various weather conditionsA Degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, or equivalent experience1-2 years of hands on experience in lawn care maintenance and turf applicationThe responsibility and independence to work autonomouslyExcellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet client needsThe appropriate Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator's License(s), or the ability to obtain one

    Position Summary

    As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating tree and shrub health issues within a specific territory. A typical day may include:
    • Inspecting plant material and identifying pests, diseases, or other concerns
    • Selecting and applying the most appropriate treatments to promote plant health
    • Preparing written diagnostic reports and educating clients about their landscape
    • Operating spray and application equipment safely and effectively
    • Working independently to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
    This role is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

    About You

    You are passionate about plants, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within the field of plant health care. You bring:
    • A degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turfgrass—or related experience (preferred)
    • The ability to work independently with responsibility and care
    • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills to engage with clients effectively
    • Willingness to learn plant/tree identification and safe equipment use
    • Commitment to completing required training and obtaining necessary certifications and licenses
    • Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
    • A valid driver’s license with the ability to operate service-line vehicles

    In the Sales Arborist role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our field specialists who deliver work and new and existing customers while applying your expertise to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape.

    Your focus will be to develop, grow and support your assigned sales territory.

    This role will involve spending time with clients and prospects to diagnose and monitor landscapes, as well as estimating jobs and providing estimates for the work to be completed. Your role is to be the trusted advisor for the property owner and to become an integral part of the health and safety of the environment you serve.

    You’ll set up crews, validate the work is being performed, and ensure jobs are completed to clients' satisfaction, as well as obtain referrals, network, and develop new business.

    You will also participate in community and industry events such as presentations to horticultural associations, garden clubs, trade shows, and community organizations, interacting with stakeholders to preserve, care for and protect the properties that we serve together.
