Job Family Description Engineering Support roles encompass a diverse range of positions that provide technical assistance and expertise to engineering teams across various disciplines. These roles may involve tasks such as conducting research, performing analyses, and assisting in the design and development of engineering projects. Engineering support professionals work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and budgetary constraints. Discipline Description Engineering specialists support engineers in the design, modification, improvement, and maintenance of products, processes, and systems in support of nuclear facility operations and missions. Activities include identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions, inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems. They may develop/configure software and/or applications. They monitor processes, estimate costs, make, or verify calculations, and analyze and interpret data. They test new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.
