Job Family Engineering Discipline Process Control Engineering Career Level P3-P5 Salary Range P3: $87,444 - $122,640; P4: $101,328 - $147,168; P5: $126,660 - $183,960 Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Job Family Description Engineering roles perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. They may design and scale up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. They may plan, design, and estimate time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components. They analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. They develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within the engineering field. Discipline Description Process Control Engineers design, configure, install, and troubleshoot complex Operational Technology systems, including both hardware and software. They work in Operation facilities and require rigor in the conduct of engineering, conduct of operations, safety, security, and cybersecurity. They require knowledge of complex nuclear/chemical processes, facility instrumentation, computing devices (i.e., networking devices, servers, clients, and firewalls), standard and smart instrumentation interfacing, control system designs, configuration of networks, and configuration of process control systems (PLCs and DCS). They support new projects and modifications to existing facilities. They must understand network diagrams, system descriptions, P design and develop new approaches, methodologies and processes; and, provide professional advice and guidance to others in accordance with professional quality standards * Applies a theoretical knowledge-base to work to achieve goals through own work * Characterized by specific functional expertise typically gained through formal education * May provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise Career Level Description P3: Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own field/discipline, solving complex problems with minimal guidance and oversight.
