    We are looking to hire a talented SOLAR SITE PROJECT MANAGER to support our De Pere, WI office.  The primary responsibility of this position is the successful supervision and management of construction activities, in the safest possible way, for multi-million-dollar solar projects. This position is an on-site assignment.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:Review and understand the terms and conditions of project contract requirements.Full understanding of the scope of work to be performed.Successfully manage project budgets, schedules, resource and workforce allocation. Oversee and manage subcontractors.Participate in project coordination meeting as required by the client.Make timely decisions and direction to ensure project success.Support and enforce all safety programs and initiatives.Monitor proper utilization/management of Company-Owned and rented equipment.Direct supervision of project site team including General Foreman, Yard Manager, Safety, QA/QC and other required site staff.Development and updating of all project schedules and other management reports.Develop site construction methods and practices.Support all Company training and employee development activities and provide appropriate input and feedback, as necessary.Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of workmanship, and that all work and materials are in compliance with project specifications and drawings.Assume additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the management team.  SKILLS:Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.Utilize innovative and effective leadership techniques to maximize employee and project performance.
    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in construction management or project leadership experience successfully completing multi-million-dollar construction projects.Have a good working knowledge of computers and basic software applications.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:Provide engineering oversight and develop cost-effective, constructable solutions that support customer technology needs, safe project delivery, and safe energized operations.Coordinate the direction, execution, and evaluation of engineering activities in partnership with Project Management and Field Management teams.Work with subcontractors to ensure qualified, experienced project teams are in place to deliver safe, high-quality designs.Support project proposals, estimating, and sales efforts by identifying critical equipment, material specifications, technical solutions, and customer requirements through meetings, site visits, vendor shops, and collaboration with other operating units.Help define engineering requirements and support the selection of engineering companies based on qualifications, experience, resource availability, workload/backlog, project understanding, cost, and references.Review plans, contracts, and specifications to help protect the Company’s interests, meet contractual obligations, and ensure work is completed accordingly.Contribute to project schedules, budgets, and related reports, ensuring information is accurate and updated in a timely manner.Support EPC procurement by working with engineers and vendors to establish economical solutions, maintain schedules, and urgently address critical path items.Build strong working relationships with clients, owners, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and other project-related firms and personnel to minimize conflicts and maximize project outcomes.Support client satisfaction as a key driver of the Company’s reputation and ability to secure new and repeat business.Participate in self-improvement and leadership development programs to enhance individual effectiveness, achievement, and long-term success.WHAT YOU’LL BRING:Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications, including strong typing ability.Ability to work efficiently under tight time frames, respond promptly to requests, and contribute as a collaborative team player.
    QUALIFICATIONS:Four-year degree in electrical engineering or construction management preferred; 3–5 years of related experience may be substituted.Ability to understand and provide input on single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, protection and control, fuse coordination, outage planning, general arrangements, elevation drawings, bus designs/calculations, and below-grade/raceway design.Knowledge of engineering studies, including lightning, lighting, grounding, insulation coordination, short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protection coordination, and relay settings.Knowledge of complex, multi-discipline packages, including civil, foundations, structural steel, mechanical and piping, electrical, life safety systems, and other specialty systems.Experience with energy projects is a strong plus, including utility and power design from low voltage to extra-high voltage (LV, MV, HV, EHV); AC and DC design; transmission, distribution, and collection; renewable energy; solar; battery storage; wind; and natural gas projects.
