Summary
The Director of Capital Improvement Projects is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and delivery of SD1’s most complex and high-value wastewater and storm water capital improvement projects and programs. This position oversees senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams responsible for the planning, design, permitting, construction, and implementation of major infrastructure projects associated with combined sewer systems, separate sanitary sewer systems, storm water systems, pump stations, force mains, storage and conveyance facilities, and wastewater treatment plant improvements.
The Director provides executive-level oversight of project scope, budgets, schedules, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with SD1’s long-term strategic and regulatory objectives. This position requires extensive technical knowledge of wastewater collection and treatment systems, storm water infrastructure, wet weather management programs, and utility operations.
The Director works collaboratively with internal departments, engineering consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders to support the successful execution of SD1’s Capital Improvement Program and the long-term reliability and resiliency of the regional wastewater and storm water system.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise a total of 3-5 employees in the Capital Improvement Projects Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or similar Bachelor’s degree (B.S.)Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of related sanitary sewer experience and/or training with similar types of work; or equivalent combination of education and experience;Registered PE in the State of Kentucky, or have the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Summary:
The DC Plant Maintenance Technician should be capable of working independently and display a sound level of experience, professionalism, and mechanical talent. Technicians must be able to assist in maintaining the operational efficiency and capacity of the Plant by ensuring that all equipment and processes work as designed. Summary:
The position of Senior Systems Analyst reports directly to the Business Intelligence manager. This position serves as a critical role for core IT operations such as software management, database administration, Integration programing (REST APIs) and report. The position maintains, implements and administers SD1’s business applications for billing, accounting, human resources and capital project management. Oversee the SCADA system environment reporting. Coordinates with other employees to design, schedule and implement training classes for Sanitation District No. 1 (SD1) employees. Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrician position will be involved in all facets of electrical troubleshooting and repair of our pump stations and treatment plants. This position will troubleshoot and repair electrical components, build and repair electrical control cabinets. This position will also wire and troubleshoot systems utilizing Programmable Logic Controls. The work requires confined space entries and lock out/tag out of mechanical components and electrical circuits. They must be proficient with fabrication, job organization, and tracking; they must also be proficient with job estimating and providing a breakdown of job costs and completion time. They will also be working directly with the Pump Station Administrator on managing contractors during pump station and treatment plant upgrades and repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to, the following):
