Job Summary
Samoht Foundation, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSP'S) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This position focuses on providing person-centered care, promoting independence, and supporting individuals in both home and community settings. Full-Time and part-time positions available with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene)Support medication management (per training)Prepare meals and assist with grocery planningProvide community support and accompany to outings or day programsAssist with transportation and medical appointmentsComplete daily documentation and reportsUse de-escalation and behavior support strategiesMaintain a clean, safe environmentEngage individuals in meaningful daily activitiesCommunicate with team, supervisors, and familiesMaintain professionalism at all times in the individual's home and in the communityFollow all company policies, including attendance, call-out procedures, and documentation requirementsQualifications
Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsReliable, patient, and compassionateAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to problem-solve and stay calm under pressureCPR certified preferred (or willingness to obtain)IHSS provider experience or certification preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation preferredMust be comfortable assisting with personal care needsMust be reliable with strong attendance and punctualityMust be able to follow direction and accept feedbackMust be comfortable working independently in a client's home.Due to personal care needs of individuals, caregiver preference may be considered for certain assignments
