    Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking an Internal Medicine physician. Join our team of established primary care clinicians at our Baker City clinic. Our group is looking for a physician who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care and who can provide this care in a high quality and compassionate manner healing the body, mind, and spirit.

    Well-qualified candidates should be passionate and knowledgeable about adult health issues, possess a general internal medicine background and desire to develop outpatient-based practices in support of our growing multi-specialty medical group within a regionally integrated healthcare system.

    Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Baker City is a critical access hospital in eastern Oregon with a Level IV Emergency Department (roughly 7,500 visits per year). The hospital has 2 monitored critical care beds and 19 beds in a medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit; inpatient services also include a step-down unit. The hospital also has two spacious ORs with 24-7 CRNA coverage. On-site ancillary services include: lab, radiology (80 slice CT), ultrasound, respiratory therapy, IV infusion (incl. chemotherapy), et al. Mobile MRI services are also available on a weekly basis.

    Requirements:

    Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;Successful completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program;Ability to obtain: Idaho medical license, registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA (controlled substances), privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center;Board certified, or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment;

    Community: Located across from each other on the Snake River, where it forms the Idaho-Oregon border, Ontario, Oregon and Fruitland, Idaho serves as the retail, service, and medical center for 70,000 people within a 20-mile radius.     Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary trauma and critical care services. In addition, SARMC is an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,250 with over 400 patients with an ISS>16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature. The trauma surgeons participate in a primary and back-up call panel arrangement.

This role follows a WednesdaySunday schedule.What you will do:Our ideal candidate assesses, plans, and implements specific physical therapy treatment programs for individual patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.     We are looking to hire a Lactation Consultant at our Boise hospital! This is a part time, day shift position. We are looking for someone who can work three 8 hour shifts each week along with one weekend every 6-8 weeks. Additional hours are available to pick up, if needed.Our Lactation Consultants provide professional infant nutrition and lactation care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of breastfeeding patients and families. What You Will Do:Maintains accurate and complete documentation of services. Serves as a patient advocate.In addition to providing hands-on care for the mother-baby breastfeeding dyad, the Lactation Consultant serves in a broad range of capacities. The range includes but is not limited to delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family, teaching and mentoring professional staff working in perinatal clinical settings, and providing organizational leadership and expertise in the area of breastfeeding.The Lactation Consultant is expected to exercise competency in judgment, decision-making, coordination of nursing interventions, and delegation of function or responsibility.This position also allows opportunities to be a part of community outreach with teaching and educational opportunities.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required within 12-months of hire.
