Claims Analyst Our team is seeking a skilled Claims Analyst to oversee auto liability, bodily injury, property damage, cargo liability, and third-party claims for a large over-the-road trucking operation. In this role, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of liability claims—ensuring timely reporting, thorough investigations, and effective resolution while protecting the company’s financial and legal interests. What You’ll Do Manage all incoming liability claims, including major accidents and third-party matters. Report incidents promptly to carriers, TPAs, and regulatory agencies. Conduct detailed investigations with support from safety, operations, and maintenance teams. Determine liability exposure and develop defensible claim strategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for insurers, adjusters, and legal counsel. Support litigation processes, reserve accuracy, and settlement negotiations. Manage claim budgets, cost-containment strategies, and recovery/subrogation opportunities. Analyze trends and recommend improvements to reduce future liability. Train drivers, operations, and safety teams on reporting and liability protocols. Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, KPIs, and compliance documentation. What We’re Looking For Required: 3+ years of liability claims experience (trucking, transportation, logistics, or insurance preferred) Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and commercial auto liability Experience with bodily injury and high-severity claims Ability to interpret accident data, medical records, and legal documents Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple high-pressure claims simultaneously High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, or related field Experience with litigated trucking claims or catastrophic losses Familiarity with claims systems, telematics, and onboard camera platforms Relevant certifications (AIC, ARM, CPCU) Working Conditions Monday–Friday office schedule, plus rotating half-day Saturdays (every third week) Occasional travel for mediations, depositions, terminal visits, or major incidents After-hours availability for severe accidents or critical events What We Offer Competitive salary + annual bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave
