The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and developing manufacturing processes that achieve required quality levels and production yields. This role creates, documents, and implements procedures for assembly, inspection, and testing, while working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
What You'll Do
Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities in accordance with customer and industry requirements, including:Manufacturing Process Flow developmentPFMEAsQuality and Process Control PlansCapability studies and Gage R&RDevelop and implement lean manufacturing processes, including takt time analysis and pictorial work instructions that integrate inspection into the production workflow.Create, perform, and maintain incoming, in-process, and final inspection sampling plans, procedures, and test protocols.Influence and introduce manufacturing procedures that support flow techniques and takt-based workstations.Support and review First Article Inspection (AS9102 format) activities.Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in support of process improvements and transitions to lean manufacturing.Identify fixture and tooling requirements to support efficient production.Participate in design reviews to ensure products are manufacturable using existing tooling when possible.Coordinate with Engineering to ensure product designs align with quality, cost, and production objectives.Mentor and support Production and Quality teams in lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Adhere to all company policies and procedures.What You Bring
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems, including ISO9001, AS9100, and/or ISO13485.Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Experience working with ERP systems and customer portals.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, datasheets, schematics, and written work instructions.Proficiency with Adobe, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or engineering Technology.Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering and/or quality engineering roles.Compensation
Annual Total Compensation Range: $90,000 - 98,000Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Final base salary details will be confirmed at the time of offer.
