Like many working families, our weekdays move quickly. Between demanding careers, school schedules, activities, and the countless details that keep a home running, there's always something happening. We already have a wonderful afternoon nanny and a bi-weekly housekeeper, and we're looking for a dedicated Household Manager to take ownership of the daytime hours and ensure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. The biggest opportunity in this role is bringing calm after the morning rush. Once everyone heads out the door, you'll reset the home, tackle the day's priorities, and create the sense of order that allows our family to come home to a peaceful, organized space. Laundry, errands and returns, maintaining household inventory, and creating thoughtful organizational systems are all important pieces of the role. We love a home where everything has a place, surfaces stay clutter-free, and the little details are consistently handled before they become to-do lists. Our family travels, schedules shift, and priorities naturally evolve, so we're looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a dynamic household. We see this as a true partnership and value someone who can grow with our family, taking on new projects, responsibilities, and household initiatives as needs arise. Who You Are / What We're Looking For You're an experienced household professional who thrives working independently and doesn't need hand-holding. You naturally walk into a space, recognize what needs attention, prioritize your day, and take initiative without waiting for direction. You're resourceful, dependable, and communicate clearly and directly, keeping everyone informed while quietly ensuring the household runs smoothly. You genuinely enjoy creating systems that make life easier. Whether it's organizing a pantry, streamlining household processes, staying ahead of supplies, or finding a better way to manage recurring tasks, you find satisfaction in creating lasting ordernot just completing today's checklist. You're flexible and understand that great household management is never completely static. As our family's needs change, you're excited to take ownership of new responsibilities, tackle one-off projects, and adapt your priorities accordingly. No two weeks will look exactly alike, and that variety is something you enjoy. This role is primarily behind the scenes, though you're comfortable interacting with school-age children and a friendly dog when needed. Above all, you're warm, trustworthy, proactive, and take genuine pride in making a busy family's life feel easier, calmer, and more organized every day. Key Responsibilities Household Organization restock pantry and household essentials Handle returns (online orders, clothing, etc.) and donation drop-offs Gift shopping, mail and package handling Kid-related errands: school supplies, theme day items, and similar needs Meal Support Create weekly grocery lists and coordinate grocery delivery or pickup Light meal prep support to set up 34 dinners per week (no cooking required) Family Support Calendar coordination for family schedules and appointments Travel logistics and packing/unpacking support for family trips Occasional vendor oversight: greet and coordinate with repair people or contractors as needed Event and guest prep for gatherings a few times per year Pet Care Occasional dog walks, as needed Vehicle Upkeep Occasional family vehicle reset after weekend use Coordinate car wash runs as needed How to Apply Please submit a short intro letter telling us about your experience and why this role is a great fit, along with an updated resume and 3 professional references with contact information (name, relationship, and phone or email).
