    Safe Haven Home Care provides person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life through compassionate, consistent care.

    Position Summary

    The Pediatric Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides one-on-one support to a child in a home and community setting. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment while assisting with daily routines, development, and behavior support.

    This position requires consistency, patience, and the ability to follow individualized care plans while working closely with the family and care team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Direct Care & Support

     Provide one-on-one support tailored to the child’s developmental and emotional needs  Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): hygiene, dressing, meals  Support structured routines, learning, and play  Encourage positive behavior and social development  Follow the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and any behavior support strategies Care & Supervision

     Ensure a safe, attentive, and structured environment at all times  Provide appropriate supervision based on the child’s needs  Assist with transitions (home routines, activities, community outings if applicable) Health & Safety

     Follow all care plans and safety protocols  Monitor for changes in behavior or condition and report concerns promptly Documentation & Compliance

     Complete daily service notes and required documentation  Report incidents or concerns in a timely manner  Follow all company policies and procedures Required Qualifications

     High school diploma or GED  Experience working with children preferred  Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to follow structured routines and care plans  Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation  Ability to pass background checks  CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Qualifications

     Experience working with developmental disabilities  Experience with behavioral support strategies  Experience in home-based or pediatric care settings Schedule
