Job Summary
Safe Build Pros LLC is hiring dependable, experienced carpenters to assist with residential remodeling and property renovation projects throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey.
We are looking for skilled individuals who can work independently, follow project plans, communicate clearly, and produce professional-quality results. Our projects include full-home renovations, rental property rehabs, kitchens, bathrooms, framing, flooring, doors, windows, trim, drywall, and general residential repairs.
This position is ideal for a carpenter who takes pride in their work, understands residential construction, and wants consistent opportunities with a growing remodeling company.
Responsibilities
Perform rough and finish carpentry for residential remodeling projectsFrame interior walls, door openings, closets, ceilings, and other structuresInstall doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, baseboards, crown molding, and trimInstall subflooring, hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, and other flooring materialsRepair or replace damaged framing, joists, studs, stairs, and wood componentsBuild and repair decks, porches, railings, steps, and exterior woodworkAssist with kitchen, bathroom, basement, and whole-house renovationsRead measurements, drawings, scopes of work, and basic construction plansAccurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materialsIdentify hidden damage or construction issues and report them to the project managerCoordinate with laborers, electricians, plumbers, drywall installers, and other tradesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaProtect occupied areas and customer property during constructionFollow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and lead-safe work practices when applicableDocument completed work with photographs and daily progress updatesComplete assigned work within established project schedulesRequired Qualifications
At least 3 years of residential carpentry, remodeling, or construction experience preferredStrong knowledge of rough and finish carpentryAbility to accurately use a tape measure, level, square, saws, drills, nail guns, and common carpentry toolsAbility to install doors, trim, framing, flooring, cabinets, and other residential building componentsAbility to work independently and as part of a remodeling crewAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsReliable attendance and professional communicationValid driver’s license and reliable transportation to project locationsAbility to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical construction workAbility to work on ladders, stairs, and active construction sitesAuthorization to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications
Experience with full-gut residential renovationsExperience working in older Philadelphia rowhomes Experience repairing damaged or out-of-level framingExperience with kitchens and bathroom remodelingExperience with decks, stairs, railings, doors, windows, and finish trimOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationEPA Renovation, Repair and Painting certification (optional)Ability to perform light drywall, painting, flooring, or general remodeling workOwn basic hand tools and carpentry toolsAbility to supervise helpers or less-experienced workersAbility to review material lists and identify what is needed to complete an assignmentTools and Transportation
Applicants should have reliable transportation and basic personal hand tools. Safe Build Pros LLC may provide larger specialty tools and project-specific equipment depending on the assignment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, honest, detail-oriented, and capable of completing carpentry assignments without constant supervision. You should be able to inspect an assigned work area, determine the appropriate installation process, prepare a material list, complete the work correctly, and communicate any problems before they cause delays.
We are especially interested in versatile carpenters who understand that remodeling older homes often requires problem-solving, field adjustments, and careful coordination with other trades.
