Safari Solutions delivers private wireless solutions at a wide array of sports and entertainment landscapes. The 5G Network Manager will travel nationwide to events for setup and support and must be willing to travel up to 65% of the year, typically 180+days per year.
Responsibilities:
Planning:
Understanding of site design and installation planProject timelines, maps, site integration, predictive surveys, use casesAttend all pre-event planning calls.
Onsite Deployment:
Install gap fiber cabling to 5G nodesVerify labeling, functionality, and test all Core RAN and Remote SectorsDeploy and test remote sectors and connect back to coreStrategically place nodes in accordance to site design angling and adjusting azimuthsVerify connectivity and roaming performanceOngoing collaboration with NOC and Remote EngineeringContinuously test performance during the event and collaborate with NOC on identified issues.Gather end-user feedback and experiences.Investigate and troubleshoot connectivity issues in real-time, conducting walkarounds during the event.Ensure the highest deployment standards are met.Tear down post event and pack assets for next tour stop
Qualifications:
Complete all trainings outlined by 5G Internal Safari Team.Familiarity with Nokia and Ericsson Hardware.Exposure to wireless standards, RF fundamentals and RAN TechnologyAdvanced troubleshooting skillsCPI/Nokia/Ericsson Certifications Preferred

Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e and fiber cabling.Verify labeling, functionality, and test all infrastructure links & network connections.tOnsite Deployment: APs & Switches*
Deploy and test APs and switches.Strategically place access points for even coverage & angling, adjusting plans based on onsite considerations.Identify and choose appropriate equipment, including antennas, AP types, mounts, switches, and wireless links.Validate AP deployment standards through quality control and adjustments as needed.Test access points, verifying connectivity and roaming performanceOngoing collaboration with the Network teamAP settings and power level adjustmentsContinuously test Wi-Fi performance during the event and collaborate with the Network Team on identified issues.Gather end-user feedback on Wi-Fi experience.Investigate and troubleshoot connectivity issues in real-time, conducting walkarounds during the event.Ensure the highest deployment Wi-Fi standards are met.Qualifications:
