    Engineer III / Structural

    Position Summary:

    The Structural Engineer III serves as a technical lead on complex design packages for high-voltage substations and related infrastructure. This role requires advanced structural engineering expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to guide junior engineers. The Engineer III independently leads structural aspects of medium- to large-scale projects, performs complex finite-element analyses, ensures design quality, and regularly interfaces with clients, project managers, and construction personnel.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lead structural design of substation projects including steel framing, foundations, equipment supports, and control buildings.Perform and check complex structural analyses and calculations.Develop and review detailed design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and design reports.Coordinate with project management, procurement, and construction teams to ensure constructability and quality.Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues across disciplines.Support proposal development, scope definition, schedule planning, cost estimation, budget management for projects.Mentor, oversee, and provide technician training to junior engineers and designers.Participate in site visits, construction support, and forensic evaluations.Support implementation of design standards, process improvements, and best practices.Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

     

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or other relevant degree program, from an ABET accredited program is required.Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain PE within one year of hire.Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.Eight (8) years of structural design experience is required; experience with substation or utility projects is preferredAdvanced knowledge of structural analysis and steel/concrete design principlesStrong understanding of ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, NESC, and IEEE standards.Technical Skills:Understanding of structural analysis and design principles.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation,.Proficiency with advanced structural analysis software (STAAD, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, L-Pile, etc.).Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Strong communication skills with ability to lead meetings and collaborate across teams.Proven ability to mentor staff and support department technical development.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Saber Power Services seeks a Compliance Administrator to support the Company’s IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) recordkeeping and reporting. This role will be based in our Houston office located on Space Center near Ellington Field.
     
    JOB SUMMARY:

    The IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entry of data related to the Inflation Reduction Act’s recordkeeping and reporting requirements. This role involves managing large volumes of information regarding prevailing wages, registered apprenticeships, and compliance with federal regulations. This role requires frequent interfacing with the Owner or Owner’s Third-Party consultants to ensure mutual agreement on reporting and recordkeeping requirements.  The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proficiency in data management software, and experience in a compliance-driven environment.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Routinely interface with Owner Third-Party consultants to address and resolve concerns.

    · Elevate issues as needed to ensure appropriate executive oversight of issues that appear to be contrary to the requirements of the IRA compliance guidelines.

    · Accurately enter and update project-related data including labor hours, wage rates, and apprentice information into compliance tracking systems.

    · Maintain detailed records of subcontractor and contractor compliance with IRA reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

    ·  Ensure that all data entries meet the requirements outlined in the IRA Final Regulations.

    ·  Accurately enter supporting documents, including certified payroll records, fringe benefit statements, and apprentice certificates.

    · Systematically enter wage determinations and maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive personally identifiable information (SPII) and personally identifiable information (PII).

    · Submit accurate compliance reports as required by the IRA, ensuring all documentation aligns with government mandates.

    ·  Coordinate with the Compliance Team to ensure timely submissions of all required documentation.

    ·  Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    ·  High School Diploma, or equivalent

    ·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role.

    ·  Prior experience with IRA Compliance is preferred.

    ·  Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including strong Excel skills.

    ·  Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    ·  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    ·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    ·  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

    ·  Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

    Saber Power Services seeks an experienced and safety-focused Cable Splicer to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high voltage electrical systems (typically 600V to 500kV) in utility, substation, power plant, and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with energized systems, strong knowledge of the NEC and OSHA safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced field environment.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Install, terminate, and test high voltage cables, conductors, breakers, and transformers.Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and protection/control systems.Execute grounding and bonding practices for high voltage installations.Work around live equipment while adhering to lockout/tagout and arc flash safety protocols.Coordinate with Foremen, Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure work is completed to spec and on schedule.Complete documentation for quality control and safety compliance.Train and mentor apprentices as needed.Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

    Qualifications:

    Must have current NCSCB Splicing CertificationValid Journeyman Electrician LicenseMinimum 4+ years of high voltage experience (600V to 500kV).Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA 1910/1926 standards.Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specs.Comfortable working at heights and in varying field conditions.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
