We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the full merchandising operations and support our next phase of strategic growth.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager oversees all merchandising operations, providing leadership across field execution, project bidding, financial performance, client relationships, and team development. This role requires a strong retail services operator who manages large, geographically dispersed teams and understands the KPIs, labor models, and execution standards of nationwide merchandising.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can scale processes, strengthen client partnerships, build high-performing teams, and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead and manage nationwide field operations, including team leaders, and large-scale merchandising workforces (W2 or 1099).Implement and improve operational processes ensuring consistent, on-time, and high-quality execution across all retail environments.Oversee scheduling, routing, labor deployment, production timelines, and workflow management.Client Partnerships & Business Support
Maintain and grow relationships with key retailers and consumer product manufacturers.Support business development by assisting with RFP responses, new project proposals, and strategic client opportunities.Participate in client meetings to review performance, discuss upcoming projects, and identify expansion opportunities.Project Bidding & Financial Management
Lead the operational side of project bidding: labor modeling, scope development, pricing inputs, and project execution planning.Support P&L oversight by tracking operational KPIs, project profitability, labor efficiency, and budget adherence.Provide accurate performance reporting, forecasting, and cost analysis for executive leadership.Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a diverse team.Build a culture of accountability, transparency, safety, and continuous improvement.Develop training and development programs that elevate execution quality and retention.Qualifications & Experience
7–10+ years of experience in retail merchandising, retail services, field execution, or CPG services, with at least 5 years managing large-scale field teams.Experience leading decentralized, nationwide or multi-market merchandising operations.Strong understanding of labor-based project bidding, RFP processes, and merchandising execution models.Financial acumen with experience supporting P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.Established relationships with major retailers and/or manufacturers strongly preferred.Excellent communication, client-facing, and negotiation skills.Proven ability to build scalable processes and drive operational efficiency.Preferred Skills
Experience with work order management tools, field reporting platforms, or labor optimization software.Background in large reset programs, remodels, rollouts, and multi-store project execution.Ability to lead through rapid growth and operational complexity.What We Offer

Sales Merchandiser are responsible for sales, distribution, and merchandising of products in commissary and/or exchange stores in their assigned territory with a primary goal of increasing sales.
Essential Job Functions
Sell in new item distribution on every call. Obtain orders for new items and commitments for adequate shelf space in proper location.Sell in all upcoming promotions.Obtain orders for products and commitments for adequate floor/display space to maximize volume on all upcoming promotions.Review sales plans with buyers and prospective buyers. Communicate clearly with clients, distributors, retailers and buyers regarding the product, i.e. prices, quantity, and warranty. Insure that all products are placed in stores and properly shelved and displayed in all assigned accounts. Insure that proper pricing signs are in place on all products represented. Operate computer systems to record and invoice credits on markdowns and credits. Manage distribution of products through web based reports.Work with store personnel to insure that all displays and shelves are stocked to the standards set by account managers and store managers.Hire and train new independent contractors.Invoice payment for contractors.Ability to read and utilize 1010 data program and EIT Sales Distribution Data Use and understand a variety of mobile applications to manage NIS and analyze sales trends and product initiatives.
Skills and Competency Requirements-Grocery Sales
Must possess effective selling skills and techniquesPossess knowledge of Military Commissary/Exchange Sales Can communicate clearly with buyers, clients, and customers. Knowledge of grocery merchandising methodologyKnowledge of grocery marketing methodologyMust have good command of the English language, both orally and written. Must have good analytical skills.Physical requirements in order to facilitate sales
