    Job Overview:

    The System Professional Coding Provider Review and Education Manager is responsible for onboarding, educating, and reviewing medical record documentation and coding processes of the Medical Group physicians, APNs and other billing providers across all medical centers within the RWJBH enterprise. This includes onboarding education, medical record reviews, targeted education to physician groups and individual physicians, annual and quarterly updates, and ongoing scheduled education sessions as determined in collaboration with coding and physician management. Education will be available in both live on-site and remote presentation formats.

    The selected candidate for System Professional Provider Review and Education Manager must be prepared to engage in cross-functional duties for the Coding Quality and Review Manager, as aligned with organizational priorities and leadership guidance. These may include conducting medical record audits, supporting coding operations and contributing to administrative functions as needed. Managers must also be prepared to support each other in cross-functional oversight of coding staff as needed and directed.

    Qualifications:

    Required: CPC, COC, or CPC-I (aka AAPC approved instructor) required, with at least 8-10 years of combined coding, teaching, and auditing experience. Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a managerial position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Must have advanced coding education and training with strong foundation in E/M coding. Prior experience in teaching and auditing E/M coding for physicians is required. Must have extensive knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM Official Coding Guidelines, with a comprehensive understanding of diagnosis and procedure coding systems Must have in-depth knowledge of coding processes, workflow management, and electronic health record (EHR) systems Must be proactive and work independently to prioritize multiple tasks and changes in work assignment to meet established deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, work well under pressure and have the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Must possess organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Must maintain active certification(s) and participate in continuing education as required by credentialing bodies. Preferred: CPMA strongly preferred. Supervisory experience in a healthcare or coding environment strongly preferred. Coding software platforms (e.g., 3M, EncoderPro, Epic) preferred. Scheduling Requirements: Full-Time, Salaried pos ition- 37.5 hours a week Travel to Oceanport, NJ and other RWJBH sites as needed. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to report on-site as needed to support operational or business priorities. Additionally, as the Education Manager, you will be expected to provide coverage for your team's scheduled on-site visits or remote sessions, including on short notice, to ensure continuity of service and that all scheduled sessions proceed as planned. Essential Functions: Manages staff of educators to ensure quality and accuracy of education trainings and provides or initiates appropriate additional education as needed. Tracks staff productivity and ensures equitable distribution of work effort. Prepares materials and conducts employed provider coding documentation and billing education as needed and determined by the RWJBH Medical Group Coding Steering Committee and Coding Management, in accordance with new provider onboarding (pre- and post-acquisition), and as requested by Compliance and/or Management. Topics may also be determined following medical record review results. Utilizes appropriate federal, state and/or coding guidelines to format educational materials. Includes redacted medical record example(s) to illustrate compliant and/or non-compliant documentation. Responsible for creating and delivering annual and/or quarterly CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 updates to providers, including specialty-specific updates as warranted or requested. Responsible for creating and maintaining education schedules in collaboration with physician leads. Ensures accuracy and integrity of ICD-10-CM and CPT procedure coding for professional fee accounts for the purpose of maintaining compliance with Federal and State Coding Regulations. Keeps current with relevant coding guidelines and Federal and State regulations, including but not limited to Evaluation and Management coding guidelines, Split / Shared services, Incident-to requirements, Teaching Physician Rules, and Telehealth rules and regulations, preparing the associated updated presentations. Delivers said education in person or remotely to RWHBH Provider staff as directed by management Maintains a shared organizational repository with appropriate guidelines and regulations regarding physician medical record documentation practices, including but not limited to the above topics. Delivers education and training delivery either remote or in person, as determined by management and deemed appropriate to the individual situation. Maintains attendance records in a singular database (e.g., Excel) Works collaboratively with Physician Billing Reviewers to present coding education to providers, along with appropriate coding references, and other materials associated with the findings of completed reviews of employed providers. Prepares and maintains detailed reports of educational activities. Maintains and staff internal "Coding Hotline" with knowledgeable staff. Effectively communicates coding recommendations and reasoning to medical staff members and others. Corresponds with the AMA and other relevant organizations as necessary Has effective collaborations with clinicians, health care providers, Revenue Cycle and Coding leadership.     Role Description:

    The Application Analyst II is primarily responsible for supporting the design and build of the designated application.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Responsibilities

    The Application Analyst II is the primary support for the assigned application(s),

    In addition to the duties discussed in the Role Description, the Analyst is responsible for the following:

    1) Executing Application Design and Build:

    Designing and building the related application

    Working with Operations to optimize the design of the application's capabilities and workflows

    Utilizes external resources for best practice builds and solutions

    Performing a thorough review of all Foundation Build and operational requested content and workflows for participating in unit, application, and integrated testing for implementation, upgrade, and enhancement system functionality

    Building data fields, screens, templates, and customer-defined functionality, as required

    Collaborates with the training team and others to ensure alignment between the proposed training curriculum and the system build,

    Following build standards and maintaining synchronization between environments in collaboration with environment team

    Works with moderate supervision

    Acts as a resource for Level 1 analyst

    Assists with development of Change Readiness demos and documentation

    2) Application Support:

    Providing go-live support for customers on new applications, including functionality

    Providing on-call support for application through go-live and post go-live

    Representing application in Integrated Area Workgroups

    Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter

    Works with customers, informatics on enhancement request requirements

    Supporting continuous documentation of system modifications and updates

    Shares knowledge and is a resource for Application Analyst I

    Validates work performed by newly certified or new work by Application Analyst I

    3) Documentation and Communication:

    Maintaining continued ticket communication with customers ongoing and with closing incident, catalog and enhancement tickets Must include details in ticket resolution/closing,

    Contacting the customer regarding ticket resolution if resolved or unable to fill request,

    Logging decisions and issues/risks in trackers during build/projects

    Supporting application governance needs, including development of business case for decisions

    Maintaining version control of workflows, issues/risks log, and decisions tracker

    Supervising basic issues and roadblocks, escalating issues as needed

    Communicating with supervisors to determine necessary escalations

    Presents oral and written communication to project team

    4) Project Management:

    Recommending areas for process improvement

    Assisting with development of future state materials

    Following the process for identification, tracking, resolution and closure of all issues

    Following the change control process and any required changes

    Collaborates with team members across the department as well as operational staff

    Developing test scripts for new systems, complying with version upgrades and system modifications

    Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent or more years work experience 7-10+ years experience with progressive responsibility implementing, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting PeopleSoft applications Preferred: Experience in the PeopleSoft Payables module preferred but any ERP Payables system experience will be a plus Familiarity with expense and/or cash management/treasury is a plus Scheduling Requirements: Full-Time Day Monday - Friday Hybrid Essential Functions: Configure and maintain PeopleSoft payables modules to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with business practices Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement by better leveraging delivered PeopleSoft payables functionality; conduct conference room pilots and other proof of concept activities to obtain buy-in for recommended configurations Collaborate with developers on system customizations, reports, and integrations Meet frequently with business stakeholders to continually review key objectives, discuss project pipeline, and build consensus around prioritization of work requests; attend project status meetings to review progress and present issues that may affect delivery schedules; help manage expectations, timelines, and deliverables Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft payables functionality Ensure that all requests follow the change management process and have a clearly articulated business case i,e, problem definition, viable options, cost/benefit/risk analysis, etc, Facilitate sessions to gather business requirements, identify current business process challenges, and perform fit/gap assessment with the delivered applications Compile process flows, functional design specifications, test plans, and training materials Supports areas of PeopleSoft system design, implementation and functionality Understands functionality of payables modules in addition to the interconnectedness of modules Supports peers, business and IT partners in designing and setting maintainable system functionality Troubleshoots and solves PeopleSoft system configuration challenges using root cause analysis and system configuration changes Understands and maintains knowledge of the system design and build to aid in development of new technologies and solutions, Creates robust Business and Functional documentation to support Technical design, system/user testing and implementations, Works well with peers, business partners and IT Maintains visibility to sustainable PeopleSoft design and implementations through training and research and is able to use experience with interpreting and adapting them to current system designs Appreciates the importance of using delivered PeopleSoft functionality, Plans and implements solutions that rely on system configuration as the primary mode of development and recommends system customizations only where/when critically necessary Influences business partners and peers to redirect business processes that drive customizations toward technologies that utilize configurations and delivered functionality Schedules and prioritizes with limited input and utilizes project management processes to maintain schedules and deadlines Encourages knowledge sharing amongst peers and business partners, Actively promotes informal mentorships within the team, Maintains visibility to group strategic roadmaps, Encourages the creation of system training/certification Interested in learning more about our IT &S team?
