Job Summary
Rumson Pharmacy, a trusted independent community retail staple since 1929, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will work directly alongside our pharmacists to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment and provide top-tier customer service to our long-standing patients.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, packing, and labelling of prescription medications with high accuracy.
* Greet patients warmly, manage the cash register, and handle point-of-sale transactions efficiently.
* Receive and input prescription orders into the pharmacy management software, verifying insurance coverage and processing claims.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficiently structured pharmacy department.
* Manage inventory by unpacking shipments, checking for expired medications, stocking shelves, and alerting the pharmacist to low stock levels.
* Answer incoming phone calls professionally, addressing general inquiries and routing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of New Jersey (or willing to obtain registration before starting).
* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation is highly preferred but not required.
* Previous experience in a retail or independent pharmacy environment is a strong plus.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
* Strong attention to detail, math skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Rumson Pharmacy, a trusted independent community retail staple since 1929, is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional healthcare and personalized, friendly service to our local community. This position offers an excellent opportunity to practice meaningful community pharmacy in a supportive, independent environment that values your clinical expertise.
Schedule
* Employment Type: Part-Time
* Weekly Hours: Two (2) scheduled days during the week, plus a rotating weekend schedule (Saturdays and Sundays).
Key Responsibilities
* Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring full compliance with all state and federal regulations.
* Provide high-quality patient counseling regarding drug indications, potential interactions, side effects, proper dosage, and storage.
* Collaborate closely with local physicians, healthcare providers, and community members to deliver optimal patient care.
* Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.
* Manage inventory, compound basic medications as required, and maintain meticulous pharmacy records.
* Foster a welcoming, trusted atmosphere for all patients and customers walking through our doors.
Qualifications
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
* Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of New Jersey.
* Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for independent, retail community pharmacy.
* Ability to work a reliable part-time schedule consisting of 2 weekdays plus rotating Saturdays and Sundays.
* Immunization certification is required.
