Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal siteRoutinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned routeMay be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildingsReplace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated areaClean up waste spills and overflowsMaintain and update route & driver log sheetsConduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logsProfessionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cabDeliver trash or recycling containers as neededPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility:

Utility Drivers are responsible for servicing customers with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This position operates various types of trucks, often filling in for other drivers. Utility Drivers will service many different routes in various areas.

The Driver Trainee position trains side-by-side with the drivers to gain experience. Driver Trainees begin employment in a trainee role while training to become a CDL driver. Drivers are responsible for servicing assigned route(s)/customers with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant.
