    Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)

    Position: We are growing and seeking a Warehouse Associate! This role is responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, including pulling and staging orders, as well as preparing millwork products such as doors, trim, and related materials accurately based on pick tickets and customer orders.

    Your Day-to-Day: to crush it in our warehouse, you'll need to:

    Pull, stage, and prepare millwork products (doors, trim, and related materials) accurately based on pick tickets and customer ordersSafely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials
    Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches customer orders.Organize, label, and stock millwork and building materials in designated warehouse locationsLift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies

    Position Summary:
    This position is responsible for the precise fabrication of interior and exterior doors and door frames, ensuring all products meet our quality standards and specifications. In addition, the role includes general warehouse responsibilities such as material receiving, handling, and storage to support the efficient flow of architectural building products through our facility.

    Who We Are Looking For:

    Proven mechanical aptitude and experience operating woodworking and fabrication equipmentFamiliarity with architectural building materials and products is highly preferredForklift certification or prior experience in a lumber yard/distribution center is advantageousStrong attention to detail, safety, and quality standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    What You Will Do:

    Fabricate interior and exterior door assemblies and frames to exacting standards using equipment such as table saws, routers, chop saws, and pneumatic toolInspect all products during fabrication for quality assurance and compliance with specificationsSupport logistics by safely loading and securing materials for delivery, ensuring alignment with shipping documentationReceive, inspect, and organize inbound materials in accordance with warehouse proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environmentAssist with periodic inventory counts and warehouse auditsFollow all safety procedures and participate in regular safety meetings and training sessionsSafely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 100 lbs. with team assistance

    Position Summary: The Estimator is responsible for evaluating scope of work, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates for multifamily projects. Typical scope includes exterior/ interior door units, trim, door and bath hardware, wire shelving for closets, windows, hollow metal door and frames. This individual will also assist project managers with submittals, change orders, and product management.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Plan and coordinate estimating efforts.Find projects to quote through data services, existing customers and mediaDownloads blueprintsRead through and highlight specificationsClarify RFI’s with General ContractorPerforms take-offs from construction plansPrepares product list to fulfill millwork requirementsPerforms cost estimates primarily for multi-family projects for project managers to pricePrepares formal quotation in a format suitable for submission to prospective clientConsult with clients, vendors, and other in-house personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve preconstruction issues.Review estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission.Confer with architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on scope and changes to estimates.Provide technical support with contract negotiations and change orders.Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Excellent organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in MS office.Experience in bidding software helpful but not necessary.Ability to plan, coordinate, and be self-motivated.Ability to maintain regular work attendance and work diligently on your own.Ability to conduct business with a positive attitude and high level of professionalism.Communicate clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations.Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Experience in construction industry (Division 6, 8, and 10) preferred.
