Estimator's Responsibility Includes:
Responsibilities include attending pre-bid meetings with clients to understand the requested scope of the project, and creating drawings, plans, and specifications for client approval. Create and distribute ITBs, review and audit subcontractor estimates, build a take-off spreadsheet, and prepare an RS proposal. Work jointly with the Project Coordinator to create the job file, budget, HUB plan, subcontracts, schedule, and other pre-construction matters. After the job award, transmit the scope of work and the approved schedule to the project superintendent.
Project Manager's Responsibilities Include:
· Review approved project documentation and have a full understanding of the scope of work
· Oversee each stage of the project, subcontracts, and suppliers
· Ensure proper administration of construction contracts
· Responsible for job site safety and quality control
· Manage the Project Schedule and prepare weekly look-ahead schedules
· Coordinate material and equipment purchases
· Administer weekly progress meetings with clients
· Manage all project costs
· Prepare daily, weekly, and other related project reports
· Prepare change orders, RFI’s, punch-list, and close-out docs
A successful candidate must have these qualifications:
· 3+ years of recent experience as a Construction Estimator & PM in the DFW area
· Ability to problem solve and find creative and professional solutions to client needs
· Exceptional “attention-to-detail” skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
· Positive and urgent attitude
· Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and be part of a team
· Proven successful project estimating history (actual cost compared to estimate)
· Flexible, well-organized, detail-oriented, and multi-task oriented
· Must be able to travel to local job sites
· Professional and polished in appearance and speech
· Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project
We believe a successful candidate will also have these qualifications:
· Degree in Construction Management or other 4-year college degree
· Job Order Contract (JOC) experience
· Working knowledge of RS Means, Gordian, and other Estimating Software
· Field experience and knowledge of construction Means and Methods
· Experience in the DFW marketplace
