    The Opportunity RS&H is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Highway Discipline Leader to join our team in the Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office! The Senior Project Manager/Highway Discipline Leader candidate will be responsible for leading a roadway/highway design team and projects. Responsibilities include developing creative solutions to solve our client projects, and core design elements including plan production, specifications, reports, and estimates efforts on large scale traditional design and innovative delivery methods. Experience with projects for NCDOT and North Carolina municipal clients. Additional responsibilities include client communication/management; managing subconsultants; supervising and mentoring roadway/highway staff; coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications; performing quality control on deliverables; developing, monitoring, and meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects; and leading/supporting marketing and business development initiatives. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university; * 10+ years' experience performing and managing roadway design projects * North Carolina professional engineering (PE) registration; * Experience managing and mentoring multidisciplinary engineering staff; * Experience managing conventional and design-build projects relating to intersections, arterials, interstates, and interchanges for NCDOT and NC municipal clients; * Working knowledge of OpenRoads, MicroStation, and/or Corridor Modeling; * Experience leading large multi-discipline teams working on complex projects; * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: * Assist with the identification, communication, and resolution of utility conflicts on various types of infrastructure projects. * Develop Utilities by Others (UbO) Plans and utility designs based upon input from utility owners and project manager. * Type, format, and organize project documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence. * Create and maintain paper and electronic files. * Apply company Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines and procedures. * Apply NCDOT Quality Assurance (QA) Quality Control (QC) guidelines and procedures. * Assist with and conduct meetings and presentations. * Assist with the management and coordination of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, schedules, and submittals. * Frequent verbal/written communication between project managers, clients, and utility owners to ensure project schedules are met and are compliant with federal, state, and local laws, in addition to all regulations required by the client. * Work independently, and with project team, to meet client's needs/objectives. * Review and perform QA/QC of utility company agreements, plans, specifications, cost estimates and invoices submitted by utility companies to assure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and requirements. * Perform utility records research, obtaining project utility company contacts, preparing contact ledgers and utility conflict tracking reports/matrices. * Assist with and prepare client deliverables, utility exhibits, project guides, project reviews, project invoices and expense reports as needed. * Travel for project site visits is required. Qualifications: * Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the utility coordination industry, preferably NCDOT experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. * Proficiency in reading and understanding civil transportation engineering design plans. * Proficiency in reading and understanding utility installation and adjustment plans. * Ability to transition easily between multiple projects and tasks. * Basic MicroStation/Open Roads experience (required). * Position requires strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills. * An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must * HS Diploma. * Associate's degree is a plus. * Valid Driver License and an acceptable motor vehicle record.     The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal utility and aviation infrastructure projects in the Dallas market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in master planning, sewer line and water line design / inspection, utility infrastructure improvements, and coordination with regional water authorities, municipalities, and aviation clients. This position will manage projects from concept through construction while serving as a technical leader and client manager for water, wastewater, and aviation-related utility infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage utility and aviation infrastructure projects including: * Water transmission and distribution systems * Wastewater collection systems * Master sewer planning and analysis * Water line and sewer line rehabilitation and expansion projects * Airfield utility infrastructure improvements * Airport civil/site development projects * Prepare and oversee engineering studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates * Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis using: * Coordinate with municipalities, utility districts, airport authorities, and regional water authorities * Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables * Inspect water/wastewater construction * Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance * Support business development efforts including proposals, presentations, and client meetings * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including transportation, aviation, and construction management.
