    Job Description

    The Senior Document Production Associate position is responsible for providing word processing and/or document production services for our clients.

    Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

    Additional Information

    SCHEDULE:

    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for efficient and timely staging, loading and shipping of prepared mailings to guarantee proper quality and compliance with Company policy and USPS requirements. Properly unload trucks of incoming material. Responsible for safe operations of powered industrial equipment at all times.  Load trucks with finished goods; following trailer sheets and transportation manager’s directions. Responsible for posting all raw materials in and out of the warehouse on the computerized tracking system.Additionally fulfills the duties of a Hoist Operator 1 as required.                               

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    Forklift Operations:  Performs shipping scheduling and manages daily work assignments to prioritize loads and ensure accuracy for shipment to USPS.  Weighs as required and put in proper location all raw materials. Follows all company guidelines.  Unloads trucks with raw materials in a timely and cost effective manner.  Coordinates the daily work routine of shipping operations, to include procedure compliance, and material handling priorities.  Performs job functions utilizing company equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all deliveries are made in accordance with contract terms.   Provides accurate route delivery information and any independent contract carrier issues. Organizational:  Works closely with machine leads and site supervision, to manage raw materials to ensure continuous production of finished products.  Utilizes the Oracle Transportation system to properly generate required shipping and postal documentation.  Implements and maintains all components of the Postage Payment Elective agreement (PPE) to comply with Postal regulations in the shipping of standard mail.  Provides material handlers with PIC list identifying location of stored client material and available locations for storage.  Monitors the orderliness of the warehouse raw material storage areas and takes action as needed to maintain proper organization.  Assists in the location of excess material identified by the Client Services Department.  Ensures disposition of copy when the Client Services department receives the information entered.  Notifies appropriate personnel if there are major variances of client copy.Administrative:   Enters receiving information into computer systems and prepare reports.  Performs good housekeeping techniques at the job site areas, properly handling paper waste and debris, and the removal of all potential safety hazards from the general area.  Performs complete physical inventories of material as required by procedures and prepare reports.  Develops good rapport with postal personnel assigned to the facility.  Provides orientation to new employees, to include safety practices training.  Monitors the quality of operator reports, to include piece weights and weight verification calculations.  Investigates any issues detected in these reports or other receiving documents.  Responds to inquiries from other departments regarding the receipt of information on a priority basis.     1. Be familiar and demonstrate knowledge of coding /converting safety and quality SOPs.

    2. Run slitting/converting orders as scheduled on slitter.

    3. Coordinate with Material Handlers in order to accomplish DePartmental/Plant goals.

    4. Keep trims to a minimum and utilize open stock. Rewind / splice open stock rolls to maximize roll efficiencies. Perform salvage operations, as directed.

    5. Operate slitter, making all necessary adjustments in order to slit paper to spec.

    6. Pre-plan and perform pre-makeready activities to minimize slitter downtime and to ensure all required production materials are ready for current and following shift.

    7. Responsible for quality and quantity of product slit.

    8. Complete log sheets and make entries in PWMS system in order to ensure timely and accurate communication of production and inventory information.

    9. Coordinate with Maintenance DePartment in order to ensure equipment is in good operating condition and report any problems to department supervision.

    10. Focus on the team process.

    11. Perform other duties as assigned.

    12. Responsible for training  new and existing team members

    Required Skills:


    Qualifications: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

    Forklift Operations: Moves material within and from the warehouse to the production area, and returns finished products to the shipping area. Unloads trucks of raw materials and loads recycling material on trucks in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Moves all materials within production area and locates copy.Organizational: Works closely with machine leads and site supervision to manage raw materials, to ensure continuous production of finished products. Removes pallets, strapping and packing materials, and moves recycle materials to recycle area. Interprets work orders and performs appropriate duties to support production machine changeovers. Receives and stores all postal equipment until needed by production. As required by USPS, completes accurately all required paperwork, to ensure proper loads prior to dispatching trucks.Administrative: Performs good housekeeping techniques at the job site areas, properly handling paper waste and debris, and the removal of all potential safety hazards from the general area. Maintains facility by applying Environmental Health & Safety and Good Housekeeping Standards as needed. Weighs as required and places in proper location all finished products following company/department guidelines Produces in/out reports and completes Problem Material Reports. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications

    The national pay range for this role is $17.25 hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.     Perform electrical maintenance, trouble shoot, and solve electrical problems for AC/DC drive controllers, electro-mechanical equipment, AC/DC controls and web transport systems. Maintain records and equipment to reduce equipment breakdowns and make changes necessary to improve safety.  Contribute to a work environment where all employees work safely and respectfully with one another. Responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members.

    Qualifications
