Looking to hire drivers for daily work (following district school calendar) for to and from school bus routes. The typical route requires about 3 hours a day, 1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the afternoon. Times are 6:45 - 8:15 am, 2:30-4:00pm. Candidate is paid during training.
JOB DESCRIPTION-SCHOOL BUS DRIVER
There are certain duties school bus drivers are required to perform. These duties include but may not be limited to:
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation fo the school bus in accordance with statutes and regulations. Driving in such a manner as to preserve the mechanical condition fo the bus.
3. Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the school bus and special equipment. Maintaining the orderly conduct of the passengers. Meeting emergency situation in accordance with operating procedures. Communicating effectively with employer, school staff, students, and the public. Successfully completing all training programs. Meeting and maintaining all requirements to be a licensed school bus driver in the State of New Mexico.
8. Providing maximum safety for passengers while on the bus and during loading and unloading operations. Maintaining good public relations. Completing required reports.
