    YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

    The Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

    Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc.

    Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact. This will include the assessment of the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to complete a project successfully.

    Responsible for preparing a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.

    Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the guidelines of corporate policies.

    Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Negotiate all change orders on the project.

    Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.

    Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision.

    Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating all change quotations to a conclusion.

    Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.

    Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client.

    Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission.

    Represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager.

    Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role

    Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience

    TRAVEL:

    The Estimator I is a salaried, entry-level position that assists in preparing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator I has limited discretion to vary from established procedures when assembling construction costs by collecting and studying information to learn how to bid on a project. The Estimator I works under general supervision and provides overall support for several small to medium projects.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

    Receives instructions from senior-level estimators to review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.

    Using established procedures to prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the computer estimating system; review the estimate printout for accuracy and completeness.

    Work with existing suppliers and subcontractors to solicit quotes and review quotes for completeness in relation to plans and specifications.

    Work with senior-level estimators to provide the Lead Estimator,Estimating Manager, and/or Chief Estimator a detailed review of the scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package.

    Contributes to the timely completion of all client-required documents.

    Using existing templates to draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.

    Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating assumptions and methodologies.

    The Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level project management position and is expected to learn and develop competency in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities. In addition, the APM is responsible for providing administrative and construction support for our Project Management team.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.

    Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained, etc.

    Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.

    Ensure that the project quality control plan is followed.

    Responsible for keeping the Warranty Log up to date.

    Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support

    Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.

    The Service Manager is responsible for providing overall management and direction for several small projects and multiple service calls.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    Provide initial client contact to assess client needs for their facility or service call.

    Prepare a complete estimate, budget for the service call or small project with a detailed review of client requirements.

    Negotiate and maintain terms and rates with clients for facilitating and sustaining service accounts.

    Interpret computerized cost data and electrical systems

    Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating

    Read and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and front-end documents

    Identify and meet customers' needs expectations and requirements

    Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

    Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

    Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

    Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

    Oral and written communication skills as required for the position

    Self-motivated and can work independently and as part of a team

    Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

    WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

    0-2 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in electrical construction

    Basic experience/exposure in Accubid estimating

    Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

    TRAVEL:

    Up to 10%

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

    Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.

    Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
