    ACADEMIC AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION POSITION: Professor, Radiologic Technology Description of Duties: Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Radiologic Technology Program. Report directly to the Program Director and the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of twelve and one half (12.5) office hours per week. Develop and maintain course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Radiologic Technology Program. Assist with student advisement; committee work for the Program and the College. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Responsible for didactic and laboratory teaching, including maintaining learning management system and keeping student feedback current. Supervise clinical instruction, perform clinical evaluations, and advise students. Facilitate and maintain communication between assigned clinical facility and the Clinical Coordinator. Participation in state society events. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director of Radiologic Technology. This is a nine (9) month position. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT (R) certification. Three (3) years full-time clinical experience. A strong commitment to professional advancement in current trends in Allied Health Education. One (1) year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program. Proficient in curriculum development, instruction methodologies, and construction of assessment tools. Microsoft Office proficient. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping.     Develop and teach Engineering/Engineering Technology courses in the STEM Division leading to graduates who are well equipped to serve the needs of the Aerospace, Manufacturing, Energy, and other industries. Reports directly to the Dean, STEM. Maintain a minimum twenty-seven and one-half hour per week assignment on campus, including teaching an equated 15 credit hours of instruction each Fall and Spring semester. Provide a copy of office hour schedule to the Division Dean. Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of classes; administer final exams in accordance with published schedule unless an exception is approved in writing by the Division Dean. Participate in the revision of existing course syllabi or write new ones. Cooperate with other professors in carrying out instructional procedures agreed upon. Collaborate on textbook changes. Maintain accurate attendance and scholastic records of students enrolled in classes and submit grade reports according to the schedule of the Division Dean. Serve as assigned by the Division Dean as a member of college committees. Attend all scheduled faculty meetings. Demonstrate improved competence and instructional techniques through continued professional development. Provide academic advisement for students informally or as assigned by the Division Dean. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Division Dean or Program Coordinator. Maintain the same high standards of excellence for directed study and online courses as the standards applied in the regular classroom or laboratory. When laboratories and classrooms are open, it is the responsibility of the professor involved to supervise student use of these facilities. If the professor cannot be present, arrangements for supervision must be made with another faculty member, laboratory supervisor, or the Division Dean. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Division Dean.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's degree in Engineering or a closely related field OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a closely related STEM field with relevant industry experience. One (1) year teaching experience or equivalent. Qualifications must align with teaching responsibilities and will be evaluated based on a combination of academic preparation, professional experience, and demonstrated competencies. Light carrying up to 10 lbs. and light lifting to 10 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Two (2) years of college-level teaching experience. Experience/education/training related to working at a community college. A profound desire to teach freshman and sophomore level Engineering or Engineering Technology courses. Proficiency with the use of computer software applications in teaching courses. Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and supporting student success in diverse learning environments.
