    The Position The Operations Coordinator will work under the direction and supervision of the school site Business Operations Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the processes of the day-to-day operations at the school site with administrative project ownership in areas including lunch, recess, arrival dismissal, physical space, and/or procurement. Furthermore, the Operations Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing groups of students and ensuring that students maintain culturally appropriate behavior in all operational activities.Essential FunctionsFulfill core Ops Specialist responsibilities, including all of the following:Supervise and monitor students during assigned lunch and recess periods Implement all site rules and safety regulations within the structure of the Rocketship student culture Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the school site discipline plan Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as deemed necessary for the position Own multiple specific administrative responsibilities under the BOM’s oversight. These will vary by campus, but will include several topics such as:Serve as the “team leader” for one or more operational systems at the school: arrival, dismissal, lunch, and/or recess. This could include responsibilities such as daily oversight, schedule creation, and/or supervision of safety protocolsSupervise meal billing and parent communications around meal purchaseMake purchases for staff Ops Requests and other procurement needs Assume a leadership role within the broader Ops Specialist team. This may vary a bit by campus, but will include most/all of the following responsibilities:Model and support a strong culture within the Ops Specialist teamCoach one or more Ops Specialists to build their behavior management and other skillsStep in to coordinate across the Ops Specialist team more broadly in times when the BOM is not on campusLearn the details of the Lead Server role.     Position DescriptionBased in Washington, DC and reporting to the Senior Director of Student Services , the  Director of Integrated Special Education (ISE) will be a key strategic leader on the Schools team and critical to driving forward the quality of and vision for Integrated Special Education within Rocketship.   Rocketship DC currently has three elementary schools in DC serving over 1300 students. The Director of ISE will manage a team to ensure that all Rocketeers are served in a compliant, effective, and high-quality environment, with the goal of achieving 1.5 years of growth in both math and literacy. In addition, with this team, the  Director of ISE will strive to continue to establish Rocketship as the premier national model for meaningful inclusion among charter schools and traditional districts. At Rocketship, we aim to aggressively support and resource our ISE team and work. The Director of ISE will  manage Rocketship’s Integrated Special Education service provider teams (including School Psychology, Speech and Occupational Therapy), the program specialist team and additional department support employees. The  Director will provide on-site support, consultation and coaching for school teams in order to meet and exceed all network goals and initiative. The  Director of Integrated Special Education must work relentlessly to drive on key network initiatives which include instructional excellence for all students, department compliance, behavior management and collaborative practices to ensure all students at school sites receive the top-notch education and support they need and deserve. Essential FunctionsServe as a trusted strategic partner to the Regional and School Team, providing support to maintain the high achievement levels of all Rocketeers.Develop and lead a high performing team of special education team members toward supporting schools and school leaders across multiple sites;     The Position

    Under daily supervision, and with clear structures and protocols in place, the Senior IT Support Technician will perform routine  day-to-day support for technologies such as MacBooks, iPads, Chromebooks, TVs, and printers. This role requires in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting computers, printers, and networks. This role will provide candidates with the opportunity to continue growing their technical knowledge and skills, while also contributing to the success of Rocketship students.

    This is an on-site position with an expectation that this person will spend 8 hours a day on school sites within their assigned portfolio.

    Compensation: $28.00 - $32.50/hour

    Responsibilities

    IT Ticket Monitoring and Resolution

    Serve as the primary initial point person for technology issues at 2-4 assigned schools and possibly also for Network Support Team staff. This typically includes  ~150-200 staff members. May provide support for additional sites and staff members as assigned.Provide timely response to tickets (i.e. within 1 day of submission, and follow up every 3 business days), escalating to other members of the technology solutions team as needed.Monitor Jira regularly to address and resolve reported technical incidents; document and update all helpdesk tickets within the Jira service management systemTroubleshoot reported issues with Windows devices, Macbook, Chromebooks, iPads, TVs, printers, and other technologyComplete in- depth network troubleshooting in partnership with the network administrator

    Routine Prevention & Monitoring

    Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and repair of staff devices, including Chromebooks, laptops, iPads, and other IT equipment.Conduct technical assessments of all incoming Insprioz devices.Complete the technical “to do” checklist during each onsite visit, including routine technical and maintenance tasks; maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking of all laptop assets while on-site.Update and patch computers as neededBack up data as requestedRegularly test and document wireless signal in the building, resolving identified wireless issues or escalating complex problems to the Network team.Document wireless access point placements in your schoolsPerform other preventative and monitoring work as neededMonthly System Checks:
    Confirm the proper charging function of all Chromebook Carts. (Note: Cart replacement may require up to 4 hours of support from the school's operations team.)Check the WIDA server mini computers ("Intel NUC") in the designated locations (DC and WI only).Maintain a clean and organized server room environment.Periodic Network and System Health Checks (2x a day, morning and afternoon):Perform spot checks of the wireless network, documenting and troubleshooting issues such as weak signals, interference, or connection problems.Perform checks of all on-site printers and copiers, ensuring full functionality.Verify the operational status of selected TVs, projectors, and Apple TV devices, resolving any immediate issues.Document any issues and report them to the campus’ Business Operations Manager for resolution.Technology Lifecycle SupportManage the process of sending damaged Chromebooks and laptops for external repair.Verify receipt of technology purchases; asset tag and make changes as requiredImage or set up, and also deploy, laptops, Chromebooks, and peripherals as assignedConfigure hardware to connect to our wireless network and printersReimage and/or reinstall operating systems for laptops and ChromebooksInstall and/or troubleshoot applications as requiredAssess and repair broken school technology equipment. This will often include documenting issues and managing shipments to/from repair or warranty locationsDispose of or repurpose old hardware as required, including using approved E-Waste vendorsSupport technology-enabled assessment administrationSupport other technology setup and use on campus

    Communication & Customer Service

    Coordinate with the Business Operations Manager (BOM) or equivalent staff upon arrival and departure at each campusSubmit a daily findings report via email to the Business Operations Manager before leaving the site; prompt the BOM to check the Technology Dashboard for updates.Proactively communicate any pending technology issues with the BOM or equivalent staff.Deliver superior customer service and build relationships with your schools and all others supportedParticipate in regular check-ins with manager and other teammates as required, receiving close guidance and direction on the various aspects of the jobUse allocated time to learn and build your technical knowledge and skills through both in-person and online technical professional development trainings

    The Position
    Tutors work closely with a team of teachers to support the academic growth and developmental needs of all students.     The PositionTutors, also called Individualized Learning Specialists (ILSs), work closely with a team of teachers to meet the needs of all students. ILSs are responsible for managing and guiding a class of students while they work collaboratively in age-appropriate centers/developmental play and for pulling small groups of students for additional academic support and interventions.Essential Functions:Motivate students to participate in learning activities; create a positive student culture around centers, developmental play and small group tutoring; maintain high behavioral expectations for all students Ensure that students have access to a joyful but productive learning environment by enforcing all campus safety rules and behavior expectations Actively guide students in collaborative centers through observation and group discussion Tutor small groups of students on literacy and/or math skills; use Rocketship-adopted curricula to deliver lessons which align to students' Individualized Learning Plans Conduct monthly progress monitoring assessments of progress for students participating in intervention; communicate progress monitoring results to families and classroom teachers; work with grade level teams to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to make intervention decisions for students Communicate and collaborate with the teachers at their grade level, and school administrators; participate actively in staff development opportunities as a member of the Rocketship team Maintain all Learning Lab materials including centers, computer equipment and accessoriesQualifications:Commitment to Rocketship's mission, vision, and goals Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success Previous experience managing and/or teaching groups of elementary-age students is strongly preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members Basic computer skills including troubleshooting and an ability to communicate about technical difficulties   Ability to efficiently interpret, manage, and utilize multiple sets of data in order to best support students' progress Ability to learn laws, rules, practices and procedures related to public education and specific to Rocketship Education Fluency in English Flexibility and a willingness to learn Interest in becoming a credentialed teacher is a plus, but not required. Bachelor's Degree is a plus, but not requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
