Position Overview:
As the Commercial Construction Estimator/Project Manager, you will be engaged in business development, estimating, purchasing, project setup, ongoing project management and project closeout. You will also work closely with team members and participate in meetings, and work with the Office Manager on project accounts receivable and accounts payable actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development for commercial construction projectsMaintaining/nurturing designer relations with architects and engineersBuilding new client relationshipsEstimating for commercial construction contracting projects using standard estimating templates following estimating procedure, soliciting and preparing bid submission documents based on specificationsManaging Project Startup including bonds, insurance, estimate preparation and reviews, creation of new project, schedule management, SOV set up, and billing and purchasingOngoing Project Management Activities including working with team members, managing changes/pricing (RFIs and addendums), tracking costs, submitting change/work orders, scheduling meetings, and preparing general correspondenceProject Closeout including requesting and completing the final punch list, finalizing contract amounts, reviewing w/management, and closing out with subcontractsAccounts Receivable/Accounts PayableQualification Requirements:
Formal Education in Construction Field Preferred (Building Science or Construction Management Degree)Commercial Construction experience (a minimum of 10 years experience is preferred)Lead a Department or Worked as a Turnkey Estimator for a Commercial General ContractorStart as an Estimator to learn systems, policies, clients, and repeat subcontractorsRedstone Arsenal access is a plusProject Management SkillsOSHA 30 Certification is preferredBilingual is preferredCompetencies:
