    As a High School Teacher at RMA, you will implement the school's mission and educational standards while assisting in enforcing student conduct policies. You'll protect students and school property, maintain accurate records, and continually improve your professional skills. Attending staff meetings, serving on committees, and fostering cooperative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents are essential. You will work with other staff to create an effective educational environment.
    In the classroom, you will plan and deliver lessons that meet students' individual needs, create an engaging and orderly learning environment, and use positive behavior interventions. You will assess and document student progress, address learning challenges with specialist support, and meet the needs of special program students. Additionally, you will oversee and evaluate the performance of educational assistants and volunteers.

    About the RoleRichard Milburn Academy (RMA) is seeking a passionate and creative Distance CTE Teacher to deliver engaging virtual instruction in Graphic Design and other digital media courses within the Arts, Audio/Video Technology & Communications (AAVTC) career pathway.This role is ideal for an educator with experience in online teaching and a strong background in digital design tools. Instruction will be broadcast from our Pasadena campus to students at multiple RMA campuses, with a focus on helping students gain real-world skills and earn industry certifications.
    What You'll DoTeach remote AAVTC/Graphic Design courses aligned to TEKS and CTE Program of Study standardsSupport students in building digital portfolios and earning certifications (Adobe Certified Professional, PrintED, etc.)Collaborate with the CCMR Coordinator to develop project-based lessonsUse Canvas LMS and digital tools to track progress, provide feedback, and support at-risk studentsServe as the lead content expert for AAVTC instruction across assigned campusesWork alongside campus-based staff (Associate Teachers) to ensure student success
