What You'll Do
As a Premium Auditor, you'll verify payroll, sales, and other business exposures used to determine commercial insurance premiums.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting on-site and remote audits for commercial insurance policiesReviewing payroll records, tax filings, general ledgers, and other financial documentsInterviewing business owners and key personnelScheduling and managing audit appointmentsApplying insurance classification and rating rulesPreparing professional audit reports using Microsoft Excel and proprietary systemsDelivering exceptional customer service throughout the audit processTerritory & Travel
This position services the Fort Wayne, IN area.

Required
Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experienceExperience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, auditing, insurance, or financial record reviewStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage a flexible scheduleProficiency with Microsoft Excel and business softwareReliable transportation for local travelPreferred

$30-$45 per billable hour (rates vary by audit type)- $50k to $60k annual earnings
RLD Associates, Inc. has an opening for a full-time, home-based premium auditor. As a premium auditor, you will work independently in the field, meeting with various businesses to conduct insurance premium audits. The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured’s business type and the associated premium.
In this position, you will be responsible for the Charlotte, NC area. Travel is required and should be expected 3 to 4 days per week and include a radius of up to 60 miles. This position will primarily conduct physical audits on site at business locations, with the opportunity to supplement work with Hybrid audits conducted entirely from home.
The right person for this role will:
Review audit requestsPrioritize inventory and schedule workloadMake contact with the named insured to schedule appointments to travel to business to conduct on-site interviews and examine records.Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications to comply with insurance industry standards.Prepare written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classificationsThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Ability to work independentlyMust be dependable and self-motivatedExcellent communication skillsStrong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft ExcelPleasant, yet professional personalityA two-year degree in accounting or related subject is preferred. Experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation considered, as well as commercial insurance expertiseReliable transportation when travel is necessaryBenefits:
