    Position Summary:

    Nursing Skills

    Assessment

    Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota license, certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) , ACLS or ability to complete ACLS within six months of hire, PALS or ability to complete PALS within six months of hire. Registered nurses caring for trauma admissions to the medical/surgical floor are required to complete a trauma training course within six weeks of hire and complete a TNCC course within eighteen months of hire. At time of hire must have American heart (BLS) -Red Cross (CPR) - or comparable with prior approval. Will be added to RQI and complete quarterly courses to be certified in American Heart (BLS) within first 3 months of employment. Sincere interest in nursing with knowledge in general medical/surgical nursing and the ability to use the nursing process. Ability to interact in a positive and cooperative manner with courtesy and respect towards co- workers, patients and other customers. One to two years experience as an RN. Minimum one year hospital experience. Bachelor Degree preferred.
