Position Summary The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems. The role also supports equipment assembly, installation, and general building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities Equipment & Facility Maintenance Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment and facility systems Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems Assist with building and assembling new equipment as needed Conduct general facility maintenance including plumbing repairs, pump maintenance, and machine shop tasks Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Perform welding and metal repair as required Maintain facility structures and operational equipment Equipment Operation Safely operate lift trucks and other material handling equipment as needed Safety & Operational Support Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, PPE, and related protocols Support a clean and organized workplace by following 5S principles Work collaboratively with team members and cross-train when needed Participate in ongoing safety and operational training Complete additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Required Minimum two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment OR completion of a relevant trade school program Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and automated systems Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment and facility issues Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond with urgency Strong time management and organizational skills Preferred Experience with three-phase electrical systems and basic PLC troubleshooting Training or certification in Lockout/Tagout and lift truck operation Experience with roll form equipment Training in confined space, hot work, or line breaking procedures Manufacturing experience within window or door production environments Willingness to travel occasionally to support other company locations if needed Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. Employees work around machinery and material handling equipment and must follow all location-specific safety and PPE requirements.
