Prepares for and assists physician in all procedures done in the Cardiovascular Lab. Other duties as assigned.Job Responsibilities:
-Supports the policies and procedures of FMLH and division of patient care services with a special emphasis placed on the needs of the patient undergoing invasive testing in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs.
-Collects, documents, records and calculates pertinent patient data.
-Assist physician with all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
-Prepares and instructs patients pre and post procedure. Developing communication skills with all customers internal and external.
-Performs basic radiologic functions including acquiring, processing, and storing digital images, basic equipment troubleshooting and radiation safety. Able to complete Safety Event reports for advanced exposure.
-Under the direct supervision of MD: Synchronous/asynchronous defibrillation; medication preparation including accurate labeling contents within syringes.
-Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment & sterile field.
-Familiar with basic diagnostic and procedural supplies along with location within the procedure rooms, core room and carts.
-Accurate scanning of Space Trax for supplies.Required Skills & Experience:
