    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supports the design of Plumbing and Piping systems throughout all company market sectors including academic, commercial, healthcare, science and technology and mission critical.Will design closely with a lead Engineer waste, vent, storm water, natural gas, potable and process water systems, purified water systems for healthcare and research and development facilities, process waste, water reuse systems, medical gas delivery systems, laboratory and process gas delivery systems.May attend project sites to document the existing plumbing conditions and to assess existing plumbing infrastructure and to prepare due diligence reports.Other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.0-5 years of professional plumbing engineering industry experienceAutoCAD and Revit extremely helpful and preference given to candidates that have proven experienceMS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and cloud tools.The preferred candidate will have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skillsCustomer service perspective with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

    Some of your Responsibilities include:

    Helping with the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects Mission Critical and Commercial sector.Utilize Revit in producing drawings for ductwork, water side distribution systems and equipment as required.Assuring tasks are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practices.Research equipment selections and perform related calculations regarding airflow and water systems.Knowledge and experience with calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layout, piping layout and construction documents (CFD modeling is a plus).Attend field visits, meet with clients and vendors.General coordination of specific design aspects into a project.Work closely on multi-discipline projects, with mechanical, electrical etc.


    Essential Skills and Requirements:

    What You will Achieve:


    As a Senior Electrical Engineer / Group Leader, you will be designing the building infrastructure for various projects including Healthcare, Mission Critical Data Centers, Science and Technology, Academic and Commercial buildings.

    Responsibilities:

    Serve as lead project engineer on a variety of commercial projects from new construction to renovations through all phases from conceptual design to construction.Project types include but are not limited to office buildings, labs, data centers, academic, high rise residential, hotels, museums, industrial, financial, government.Coordinate design with internal teams (mechanical, plumbing, sustainability) and external stakeholders (architects, contractors, consultants).Design of power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power supply in accordance with all applicable NEC codes and standards.Develop specifications, legends, site plans, lighting plans, power plans, one-lines, riser diagrams, details, various schedules such as panelboard schedules and mechanical schedules as well as load calculations.Lead the electrical team of engineers and designers and provide technical guidance in the development of the construction documents as well as support assigned staff on technical and administrative issues..Perform Construction Administration tasks such as field visits and subsequent issuance of field reports, responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.


    Essential Skills:

    15+ years of related experienceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of the NEC, IBC and IECCPE license is a plus

    The total compensation that we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio but expected to be in the $120,000 to $150,000 range.
