    Job DescriptionJob Description

    **Medical Front Desk Receptionist for our Rockwall location***

    In this unique position, we are seeking a qualified candidate who has professional ophthalmology experience, front office administration experience

    Medical Front Desk Receptionist for our Plano/Dallas locations – Responsible for maintaining front office administration duties for the clinical practice which includes but not limited to answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, processing daily census reports, patient and insurance verification; additional duties as required.

    Experience:

    A minimum of one or more years of front office administration; medical practice preferred. Experience within Ophthalmology medical practice a plus.

    Excellent verbal and written communication both internally and externally.

    Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office and ability to navigate internal timekeeping and IT systems.

    Prior knowledge of Nextgen Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management a Plus!

    Ability to prioritize, organize, be detailed, and multi-task.

    Given the patient volume and necessary coding requirements, speed and accuracy is a must.

    Position Overview

    The Retina Center of Texas is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Assistance Specialist to support our patients in accessing financial assistance programs for high-cost retinal medications and treatments. This role is critical in ensuring patients receive timely care by helping them navigate co-payment assistance programs and Patient Assistance Programs (PAP).

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Assist patients in obtaining financial support through co-payment assistance programs and PAP enrollments.Educate and clearly explain available assistance programs to patients in a professional, compassionate, and easy-to-understand manner.Collect and verify required documentation and information needed for program eligibility and approval.Complete and submit enrollment applications accurately and in a timely manner.Follow up on applications and communicate status updates to patients and providers.Maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions and program submissions.Work closely with physicians, billing, and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient support.Stay updated on payer requirements, program changes, and eligibility guidelines.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Retina Center of Texas is looking for an Ophthalmic Technician who is a professional, reliable, and dependable person with initiative, a positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    1. Understand and work on Nextech system efficiently.

    2. Interview patients and document ocular and medical histories.

    3. Perform a variety of routine tests using ophthalmic instruments that provide diagnostic information including, but not limited to, intraocular pressures, basic motility, confrontational visual fields.

    4. Administer topical medications or diagnostic drugs as required by the provider for testing or treatment.

    5. Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic tests (OCT, Fundus Photos, Fluorescein angiography) and procedures.

    6. Assist the physician with patient education pertaining to the treatment prescribed.

    7. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

    8. Record patient charges for the billing department.

    9. Checks voicemail and staff box daily.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Prepare procedure and exam rooms; inventory equipment and supplies; replenish supplies and

    equipment.

    2. Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures.

    3. Maintain a professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

    4. Work as a team member within the clinic department and all other departments.
