We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at our Pamco Label location in Des Plaines, IL! The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for inspecting work in process and finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is ideal. A background in printing, packaging or a similar industry with SQF, AIB, or ISO exposure is a huge plus!

Essential Responsibilities:
Examines purchase order and/or other documents to secure details regarding size, colors, content and other product characteristics being inspected for.
Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system and conformity to specified standards.
Tests samples of product and documents results.
Approves or rejects product and writes report of inspection results

The ideal candidate will offer specialized technical expertise to support Quality programs. This is strictly a stationary machine operation, precision assembly, and quality control position. This is NOT a warehouse, material handling, or forklift operator role. Forklift experience is absolutely not required, nor will forklift operation be a part of this position. We are looking exclusively for production operators focused on machine setups and visual inspection.
Responsibilities
Receives job assignments from Manager, Supervisor or Lead; reads job specifications/jackets to ensure all finishing, seaming, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.Operates a variety of finishing equipment, including slitter-rewinders, inspection machines, and seaming machinery (converting flat film into shrink sleeve rolls).Monitors the flow of material through machines to detect irregular cutting, winding, or seam alignment.Sets up and monitors solvent application systems during the seaming process, performing regular bond-strength and layflat measurement checks.Ensures strict quality of work to include color, size, die cut, layflat dimensions, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped.Uses strobe lights or automated inspection systems to identify and remove printing defects, flags, or splices.Safely removes, replaces, or adjusts blades, forming guides, and tooling on inspection and converting machines.Assists in the cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs.Completes required production paperwork for each job and securely boxes finished goods with accurate labeling.Maintains a clean and organized work area.Other duties as assignedQualifications
