    JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly organized and client-focused Interior Designer to support our builder partners and their homebuyers in selecting hard finishes for new residential construction. This role is responsible for guiding buyers through the design selection process while ensuring all materials align with builder specifications, construction timelines, and budget requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is comfortable balancing design creativity with construction practicality.

    Requirements:

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    Lead design selection meetings with homebuyers for new construction projectsGuide clients through selecting hard finishes, including:Flooring (hardwood, carpet, tile, luxury vinyl)Countertops (quartz, granite, solid surface)Backsplash and wall tileAdditional interior surface materialsEnsure all selections comply with builder standards, plans, and budgetsReview and interpret construction plans, specifications, and allowancesPrepare detailed selection sheets and material specifications for builders and installation teamsCoordinate closely with builders, project managers, and installers to ensure accuracy and timely executionManage multiple builder projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlinesCommunicate changes, upgrades, and timelines clearly with all stakeholdersMaintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, availability, and lead timesSupport showroom organization and builder-focused displays

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Degree or certification in Interior Design or related field preferred2+ years of experience in interior design, preferably in new construction or a builder design centerStrong understanding of hard finishes and their application in residential constructionAbility to read and interpret blueprints and construction documentsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong communication skills with both clients and construction professionalsDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracyExperience working directly with home builders or developersFamiliarity with allowances, upgrade structures, and builder selection processesProficiency in design or specification software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)Sales or upselling experience within a structured builder program
