    Reliance Pathology Partners seeks an experienced Technical Lead - Histology to oversee the technical operations of its CAP-accredited laboratory. This leadership role manages workflow and personnel across Histology, IHC, Special Stains, DIF, Cytology Preparation (non-GYN), Grossing, and Frozen Sections. The Technical Lead also leads the Reliance Histology Training Program as primary instructor and coordinator, ensuring comprehensive student education and professional skill development. This position works closely with the Laboratory Manager and remote Cytology Lead to maintain CAP, CLIA, and Florida compliance across all technical areas and participates in the on-call rotation for frozen sections, including limited evening and weekend coverage.


    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and develop technical staff and students.Oversee daily operations in all histology-related areas.Ensure regulatory compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and the Florida Department of Health.Review QC, PT, and instrument maintenance records.Validate new methods, stains, antibodies, and instrumentation.Provide classroom and bench instruction for the Histology School.Participate in on-call rotation for frozen sections.Monday-Friday daytime schedule with rotating on-call coverage

    Florida State License as a Laboratory Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor in Histology (required).HTL/HT(ASCP) preferred.Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if CLIA/Florida equivalency is met.10 years of histology experience preferred, with at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role.Strong knowledge of histology, IHC, special stains, DIF, cytology prep (non-GYN), and frozen sections.Experience with CAP inspections, validation, and PT programs.Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
