    Position Summary

    Qualifications:

    • Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred

    • Experience with metal stamping, press room operations, and metal forming equipment required

    • Hands-on troubleshooting and continuous improvement experience required


    Technical Skills:

    • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience with Siemens and Mitsubishi required

    • Allen Bradley / Rockwell experience preferred

    • Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, GD&T, and IATF 16949 requirements

    • Experience with prototype builds and manufacturing process development

    • Electrical troubleshooting and stamping tool experience are a plus

    • Design, develop, and commission electrical control systems including panels, components, devices, and machinery for material handling systems.

    • Create electrical control system designs and detailing using CAD software, including wiring diagrams, control panels, and electrical device layouts.

    • Program PLCs for material handling systems utilizing platforms such as ControlLogix, Mitsubishi, Omron, GE, and Siemens.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Strong electrical design experience (top priority)Experience in at least two of the following: design, programming, or buildPLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley preferred, Siemens secondary)Exposure to Maple Systems and Automation Direct – preferredExperience with debugging, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation systems

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Design Engineer to support vehicle and product system design and development. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.


    What You’ll Be Doing

    Engineering & Design

    Vehicle and product system design and developmentSystem physics modeling and characterizationCAD system and component concept development and packagingApply linear-static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in design optimizationGenerate technical drawings and documentationPrepare and present project status reportsSupport test design, development, and reporting (DVP&R)

    Project Support
