Job DescriptionJob Description Seeking a part-time Advanced Wound-Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (1099 contractor) to become part of our team. You will focus on providing high-quality patient care and will be trained in advanced mobile wound care procedures. If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below. INCOME POTENTIAL The income varies considerably depending on treatment type, size of wound, number of wounds, and number of treatments. Our primary treatment type is human amniotic membrane (HAM) allografts. However, on occasion, we may have to temporarily limit care to conventional treatment if infections arise or if the patient has not reached the required post-discharge timeline before advanced wound care is allowable. For conventional treatments, $100 is the minimum reimbursement. For our primary HAM treatments, weekly reimbursements range from $500 for smallest grafts to over $17,000 for some of the largest grafts (our highest payout to one of our providers was $17,500 for a single treatment, with other payouts for additional treatments). However, expectations should be managed as the average weekly treatment payout is typically $1,000 to $2,000 for most wounds. TREATMENT DURATION FREQUENCY Most treatments typically take an hour (sometimes less). In a few rare cases of complex wounds, the duration could be up to 2 hours. The average number of amniotic allografts for most patients are 6 total treatments. Although some wounds require the maximum number of HAM applications, which are 10 total treatments. Treatments are conducted once per week. Keep in mind, with each treatment, wounds heal and shrink in size, which leads to adjustments in reimbursements throughout subsequent treatments. WORK TEMPO Due to shifting consumer needs and ad responses, this opportunity should not be considered a primary source of income (at least not in the beginning). There may be certain periods where the schedule will be full of patients, while for other times, there will be fewer or possibly no patients. Starting out, the scheduling requirement is once per week, and providers must be able to commit to treating their patients on the same day each week. However, as more patients become available from that region, providers are welcome to open up their schedules for other treatment days. Given that possibility, full-time opportunities may eventually become available if desired.
