The Aseptic Field Service Technician reports directly to the VP of Engineering & Program Management. This role provides opportunities to work in a dynamic and results-driven work environment. Key Accountabilities:
The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:
Participate in the commissioning of new manufacturing equipment under the supervision of Engineer; Ensure that all equipment designs and activities comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards, and maintain company drawings and technical records, as well as providing clear and concise analysis and reporting; Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance for improvement of processing equipment and production lines; Maintenance, testing and upgrading of all production equipment. Installation and testing of new food manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment. Interface with machine tools and special equipment or test modules, troubleshoot existing equipment for electrical or electronics failures and change or modify machines to improve or update. Escalate complex equipment issues to Engineer as needed; Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention; Work with production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and troubleshoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, test, and followup where appropriate; Preventative maintenance and repair when required; Participate in a continuous improvement culture while following safe workplace practices; Create a maintenance program for the equipment; Seek to ensure reliability of plant and equipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operation costs and satisfying all safety, environmental etc. regulations in the process; Work in a team environment to support company objectives, initiatives, and policies under the direct supervision of the VP of Engineering and Project Management; and Drive production line performance improvements using Controls Automation and Continuous Improvement knowledge and skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering PLC Technician Certification Six Sigma Green Belt or higher Five years of experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician, reading electrical and mechanical schematics in an aseptic environment. Must include 5 y. exp. with RS Logix 500, Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC500, and working with multimeters on control plans with up to 480VAC

Responsible for managing multiple Operations projects to improve operational cost, quality, and service levels. Develop business cases, budgets, gaining alignment with key stakeholders, and leading cross functional teams. Use expertise in manufacturing, warehousing, plant maintenance, engineering, and program management to provide leadership and problem solving throughout the project lifecycle. Responsible for project initiation/scope definition, planning/design, execution, and project close. End-to-end program management leadership through collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain Leadership, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, external contractors, and suppliers. Provide timely updates to Refresco NA Operations Leadership on project progress and propose immediate actions when deviations to scope, time, or budget are identified. Lead preparation, decision making, planning and execution of projects. Partner with Technical Leads (Manufacturing. Maintenance, Quality, IT, or Engineering) and ensures the availability of these resources to complete all phases of the project. Maintain effective communication of project expectations and goals with project team, Supply Chain, plant, and manufacturing employees. Support plant preparation for the project execution. Ensure plant understand project goals and metrics and are held accountable for meeting expectations. • Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators. Using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools. Assist with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors. Participate in or facilitate the different testing, implementation and start up phases. Ensure compliance to all OSHA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards as it relates to projects. Ensure project documentation is complete and filed in the SharePoint per documented standards. Help strengthen the position of Program Management and Project Engineer by leading the development, implementation, and training of best practices within Refresco NA Initiate appropriation requests, purchase orders, and contracts as required. Ensure that all designs and activities comply with all applicable codes, regulations and standards; OSHA, NEC, State/local, and other safety guidelines and maintains company drawings and technical records. Identify opportunities to improve machine safety, plant performance, product quality and employee welfare, provides leadership in developing and implementing practical solutions, and participates in long-range capital planning. Enforce the compliance to all Refresco specifications and expectations supporting Clean Design and food processing requirements Execute large scale projects, managing budget, schedule, and cost as defined in the approved capital project document and initiates appropriation requests, purchase orders, and contracts as required. Lead all communication with plant personnel throughout the execution of the project Take point for all capex submittals providing a standard format and consistent methodology for development
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering; Five years of experience as an Industrial Engineer which must include 5 y. exp. as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment. Must also include 5 y. exp. using UGNX 8.5, AutoCad, WITNESS, ProE, MiniTab, Tableau, Inventor 14, SQL, R, C, C++ and Python.

Essential Job Functions of QA Support Tech:
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts). Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF). Ensure all products being run conform to the customer product specifications as outlined in SAP system, and conduct analysis on raw deliveries, finished batches and treated water. Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials as acceptable or unacceptable. Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity. Investigate all out of specification conditions and make recommendations for corrective action and document. Enter data into and confirm batches in SAP. Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque and seaming checks. Effectively perform BBSO audits and provides feedback to the employee observed. Can send professional emails as required to provide effective communication to all levels of the organization. Understands how to generate a Process Order (COR1) and print batch sheet in emergency situations with Manager approval. Able to train coworkers up to the Tier II skill level and actively participates in the training of new techs and uses SOPs and training matrix to track progress. Knowledgeable of department KPIs and can clearly communicate continuous improvement opportunities in all QA processes. Performs Root Cause Analysis and Reporting. Stop any production which may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert a member of the management team. Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed. Complete all other required reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) in a timely manner. Perform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production. Perform production line checks at specified intervals. Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment. Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times. Report all out of specification results to designated leadership. Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership. Has demonstrated Tier II skills have been sustained at an acceptable level with limited supervision .Required Skills:
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP. Exposure to using measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM machines) preferred. Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change. Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends. High level of precision and accuracy in inspection and testing processes. Familiarity with ISO, Six Sigma, GMP, and other relevant standards and regulations Understanding of Food Safety Requirements. Able to read and understand metric system. Must have an in-depth, operational knowledge of the machine being operated and other related equipment. Must always abide to company rules, regulations and policies. (See Company Rules & Regulations) Coordinate the scheduled production runs and directing the machine operators to ensure production accuracy and efficiency. This includes the execution of flavour and package change-over, liaising with the Q.A. Technician to ensure accuracy in date codes of primary and secondary packaging, as well as UPC labeling when required. Responsible for tracking and recording the total cases produced for each production run and any corresponding down times, to track line performance and efficiency. Responsible for tracking and recording all alcohol volume metered and produced to accurately account for all volume batched and all losses that may occur on the line. (SOP-PRQ-014 and BF-PR-021). Direct the Utility and Operators as required, ensuring line performance optimization. Provide training under the direction of the Trainer, to machine operators as required. Coordinate with maintenance on PM's or issues of a mechanical or electrical nature. Verbally inform Syrup batchers the tank and flavour to be hooked up as per the production schedule. Must accurately complete Lead hand Report (BF-PR-010), collect all operators' report and place it on the designated filing tray at the end of the shift. Must complete Alcohol Reconciliation Report (BF-PR-021), the Raw Material Verification Report (BF-PR-023) and the First 20 Case Inspection Report (BF-PR-032) when applicable.Skills/Qualifications:
Experience in a fast moving packaged goods environment, beverage production experience preferred Good interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal Solid understanding of production machinery/forklifts, including an awareness of technical issues Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure Formal training in areas such as WHIMIS, HACCP, Hygiene etc. preferred Forklift certification may be required
