    Location:

    Washington Portfolio. Ability to travel to properties as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive and complete requests for maintenance in apartment units, common areas, or to the exterior of buildings. Repairs may include but not limited to interior and exterior painting, sheet rock repairs, electrical repairs, minor appliance repairs, plumbing and moving furniture and assist with pest control

    • Work with community manager to ensure vacant units are ready for re-rent

    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance for equipment and systems

    • Understand the functions of fire control, water, and other building systems. Routinely observe these systems to determine that they are working properly

    • Conduct regular grounds maintenance to ensure a pleasant curb appeal

    • Complete interior and exterior janitorial duties

    • Purchase supplies, equipment, or services, to meet routine maintenance needs

    Qualifications:

    • Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locations

    • Ability to work with a diverse population in a residential environment

    • Strong customer service

    • Experience working with computers such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

    • Understand custodial and maintenance manuals and apply the concepts

    • Assess maintenance emergencies and make judgments about appropriate immediate and longer-term responses

    • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle up to 20 feet

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform the daily operations of the accounting department; including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
    • Maintain tax and insurance schedules/ payments for multiple properties
    • Prepare monthly reporting packages for portfolio of properties, including financial statements and supporting documentation
    • Responsible for month end reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
    • Prepare and review appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations to reflect all cash activity and accruals
    • Compile and analyze month and year end financials for assigned properties
    • Support Regional Manager and Asset management in budget preparation and review

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least five years of experience
    • Three years of affordable housing property accounting or residential property management experience
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, as well as RealPage experience
    • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities
    • Outstanding time management and organizational skills - ability to multi-task, prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and track deliverables in a fast-paced environment
