We have an opening for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, support their clinical teams, and work closely with their families. As a DSP, you will be responsible for showing compassion, providing support to residents, and creating a safe environment. Your main focus will be fostering independence and personal choice by guiding individuals to acquire the necessary skills, such as social behavior and interpersonal competence. By doing so, you will empower individuals to become more self-reliant in their day-to-day lives. If this sounds like a rewarding opportunity, we would love to meet with you.

    ResponsibilitiesAssist individuals with disabilities with their daily living activitiesAdminister medication(s) according to guidelinesAid in implementing treatments, training programs, and developmental/behavioral plansEncourage community participationDocument all observations and daily progress notesCommunicate effectively with team membersAssist individuals in performing their cleaning responsibilitiesTransport and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and shoppingPerform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by your supervisorRequirements and skillsMust be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit and walk for periods of timeSuccessful clearance of background checksBasic computer skillsCPR/First Aid training (Preferred)High school diploma or equivalent Read Less
