Role Overview:
As a key contributor to the GMI Platform, We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and sustain ground resource management solutions for mission-critical space operations. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional engineering team to deliver robust software supporting antenna configuration, communications link management, and spacecraft interface integration. This role requires a proactive engineer with a strong background in software development, system integration, and operational support for large-scale ground systems.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and test software applications for ground resource management, including antenna configuration, communications link management, and spacecraft interface integration.
Integrate and support FEP/GEP/CMM systems, ensuring seamless operation and interoperability.
Conduct code reviews and participate in test framework development to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Provide technical support for real-time operations, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution.
Document system configurations, operational procedures, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and support mission objectives.
Communicate effectively within and outside the immediate team, including with external stakeholders and customers.
Deliver enhancements and improvements to existing systems and processes to increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security clearance.
Demonstrated experience in software engineering for ground systems, including resource management and system integration.
Strong proficiency in software development languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
Experience with system integration, code review, and test framework development.
Familiarity with antenna configuration, communications link management, and spacecraft interface protocols.
Experience documenting operations and maintenance activities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and support real-time operations.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with FEP/GEP/CMM integration and ground system architectures.
Background in technical leadership or Agile software development.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
Experience with team collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, Git).
CompTIA Security+ or better certification.
Experience working in a DevSecOps or Agile environment with regular release cycles.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with VMware and Docker in operational environments.
