Position Summary:
The Senior Tax and Compliance Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting, and effective risk management. This position serves as a key liaison between internal departments, external partners, and the parent company to maintain regulatory compliance and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Parent Company Reporting & Financial Conversion
Convert financial data for parent company reporting requirements using Tagetik.Ensure consistency and accuracy in consolidation and reporting processes.Support internal and external audits related to consolidated financial statements.General Ledger & Financial Reporting
Perform day-to-day GL accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with GAAP.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Assist with variance analysis and provide insights to management.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.Tax Compliance & Coordination
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.Act as the primary liaison with external tax accounting firms for audits, filings, and advisory services.Maintain documentation and support for tax-related inquiries and compliance reviews.Insurance & Risk Management
Manage insurance policies, renewals, and claims processing.Identify and assess financial and operational risks.Maintain risk registers and ensure mitigation strategies are implemented.ESG Compliance & Reporting
Oversee Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance requirements.Coordinate with the parent company's ESG team to align reporting standards and sustainability initiatives.Prepare and submit ESG-related data and disclosures as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).5+ years of experience in corporate finance or accounting roles.Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and ESG reporting standards.Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred) and Tagetik.Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
