    Recore Electrical Contractors is seeking a BIM Modeler to support the Recore Electric Engineering team. (This is not a remote position)

    The BIM Modeler is responsible for maintaining one or more project BIM models and the associated project BIM support documents, to ensure the quality levels satisfy specific project BIM requirements and Recore Electric BIM standards. Core responsibilities of the BIM Modeler role will span from initial project set-up, ensuring BIM models remain free from errors, to managing outputs and performing BIM coordination exercises.

    The BIM Modeler provides technical support directly to project teams and reports directly to the BIM Manager, providing feedback on project teams requirements for training, workflows or content.

    Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related CAD software.

    • Experience in model federation workflows using Navisworks.

    • Solid understanding of core ANSI drafting standards.

    • Familiarity with design practices relating to the electrical field.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Candidates must be able to clearly articulate advanced concepts in a way that team members at all levels can understand.

    • Candidates should possess the ability to teach others to understand and use BIM concepts and tools.

    • Degree in computer aided drafting or electrical engineering/technology preferred but not required.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to details is a must.

    Experience:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope
    Plan layout and installation of same in accordance with job specifications

The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver & exercises great communication skill with project managers and clients.

    Managing a crew of 10 -15 electricians
    Review plans and layouts provided by the Project Manager
    Identify and communicate conflicts in construction progress with the Project Manager.
    Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress
    Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan and schedule changes
    Generate weekly and monthly material requests
    Attend job site meetings with General Contractor, when needed
    Maintain daily logs and other paperwork that can be required by the General Contractor

    Experience Requirements:

Perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance. Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy. Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and makes recommendation for improvement/repair. Maintains good housekeeping, which may include, sweeping work area with a broom, organizing tools and materials, and keeping surfaces clean. Job Requirements 2 years of electrical industrial and/or commercial service experience. Perform troubleshooting on both analog and digital circuitry. High degree of skill at analyzing problems and developing solutions. Safely work on electrical and electronic systems up to 480v. Operate most electronic test equipment. Read and analyze schematics. Skilled in hand and power tools. Basic knowledge in computer systems, Microsoft programs and interfaces. Perform in office and manufacturing environments.
