    Ready, Set, Grow Learning Academy is looking for ambitious, creative, professional, silly, fun, joyful teachers to join our brand new Midtown facilities located at 1418 Madison Ave. Full/Part Time and Floater positions available.

    If you do not mind singing and dancing while teaching your curriculum, changing diapers or feeding a baby then we encourage you to apply! We believe that children learn most through active play!

    Our teachers are passionate about the intellectual and emotional development of children, and we are currently in search of an equally passionate and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team. Teachers will be responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate educational environment and creating a program that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our children. The successful candidate will work closely with the Educational Director to ensure our program provides education, physical health, emotional well-being, and parental involvement services to all enrolled students.

    Responsibilities:

    Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growthCreate a fun and safe learning environmentDevelop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtimeEstablish and maintain positive relationships with students and parentsCommunicate with parents on students' growth and progressMaintain the health and safety of all students

    Accepting Applications and Resumes for Infant-Toddler Teachers. Applicants with classroom experience and/or education in Early Childhood Education/Child Development are preferred. EOE

     

    Position Summary:

    The Teacher is responsible for working in a team effort with the Lead Teacher and other program staff to provide infants and toddlers with a safe and healthy learning environment, advancing their physical and intellectual growth, supporting social and emotional development, providing positive guidance and discipline, establishing positive relationships with families and encouraging their involvement in the education of their infants and toddlers, ensuring a well-run purposeful program responsive to participant’s needs and maintaining a commitment to professionalism.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    Must stay current with Microsoft software and other technology used to support school initiatives and communication skills. Have good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to assume responsibility for planning and implementing the daily program for a group of young children. Has the ability to work well with parents of young children; infants and toddlers up to two years of age. Has the ability to provide guidance, encouragement, on-going monitoring to the classroom. Ability to provide leadership and problem-solve with other staff. Have the ability to work with infants, toddlers and families from diverse social, economical, and cultural backgrounds.

    Credentials/Experience:

    Must be 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED. Experience working in an Infant/toddler/pre-school environment preferred. Infant/Toddler CDA or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or age-appropriate Child Development from an accredited college or university accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) preferred.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Assumes shared responsibility for planning and implementing the daily plans.

    • Provide guidance and positive discipline in a safe and healthy environment.

    • Works with the Lead Teacher and Education Director to develop lesson plans, classroom management, and procurement of needed teaching materials and supplies.

    • Communicates verbally and in writing with parents.

    • Provides leadership and problem solve with staff and children.

    • Provides guidance, coaching, and encouragement (to parents and children through on-going monitoring in the classroom and daily interactions with family).

    • Is responsible for building trusting relationships with the child and families.

    • Assumes responsibility to ensure that assigned child outcome documentation in TS Gold is completed.

    • Focuses on the routines, relationships, development and care of children.

    • Stays current with early child development through provided professional development.

     

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist in other classrooms if needed to maintain ratios.

    • Participate in special projects throughout the year.

    • Support and understand the vision, mission and values of the school.

    • Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

    Working Conditions:

     

    Work is performed mainly at a school site with moderate exposure to injury. Functional requirements of the job include: diapering a baby, participate in daily activities, participate in emergency situations/evacuations, and provide care for children with special needs according to our program policies. Be able to actively participate in a variety of activities with children and oversee children outdoors in various weather conditions as required by program standards. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and minimal lifting.

    Other Characteristics:

    Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Meet all current childcare employee regulations, Performance Standards, and agency regulations. Hold or be willing to obtain a current age-appropriate CPR/First Aid Certification. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds as needed in daily activities, emergency situations, and providing care for children with special needs. Be able to actively participate in a variety of activities with children and oversee children outdoors in various weather conditions as required by program standards. Work assigned hours. Punctual. Utilize all safety equipment and procedures in daily operation of the classroom including appropriate attire such as non-slip shoes/shoe covers, smocks, and gloves
