    Based in Highland Park, IL, the Director of Marketing defines and owns the marketing roadmap, aligning it with Razny Jewelers' short-, mid-, and long-term business objectives. This role serves as a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies for Razny Jewelers, its three signature brands, key events, and more than 15 co-op brand partners, driving business growth, strengthening brand awareness, and elevating customer engagement. The Director oversees brand positioning, messaging, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing marketing team focused on results, creativity, and accountability. This role is based on-site and reports to the Razny family. Planning, Strategy and Execution Translate Razny's brand heritage and values into culturally relevant, emotionally resonant storytelling across campaigns and audiences. Develop and execute brand positioning and messaging frameworks that define how Razny communicates across internal and external audiences. Synthesize brand, audience, and competitive insights to develop strategic roadmaps that build enduring brand equity and deliver measurable business value. Provide strategic oversight from concept and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization across all earned, owned, and paid marketing channels, including social media, email, website, content, digital and traditional media, ecommerce, SEO and GEO, and events. Oversee the internal creative process across all brand touchpoints, ensuring the look and feel align with brand guidelines. Implement CRM, marketing automation, and analytics to drive targeted engagement. Cultivate relationships with industry and brand partners and thought leaders to stay up to date with consumer and trends. Edit content across platforms. Liaise with the creative team to manage pre-production, on-site production and post-production for photoshoots, video shoots and magazine graphics and content, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards. Leadership and Management Act as a player-coach, developing and inspiring the team, setting clear expectations, high standards, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. Provide clear and detailed direction to external agencies, outlining campaign objectives, target demographics, and key messaging, ensuring clear scopes of work, excellence in creative, consistency across campaigns, and timely and efficient budget management. Partner with leadership, sales, client services, inventory, timepieces and other teams to effectively orchestrate work across internal teams to drive business outcomes. Provide positive leadership and productive influence across and around enterprise. Measurement Synthesize and leverage consumer insights and data to shape the marketing calendar. prioritization of marketing messages, influence priority audiences, and brand creative and content. Measure, optimize, and iterate campaign measurement, dashboards, and reporting. Analyze performance across channels, personas, industries, and regions, using insights to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency. General Own and manage marketing budget, spanning media, creative, production, content, website, gifting, MarTech, and events. Allocate investments based on business impact, ROI, and strategic priorities. Establishing operational discipline, including processes, timelines, budgets, and governance that enable teams to execute efficiently and at scale Navigate ambiguity, changes, and last-minute pivots in an evolving business and proactively identify solutions, opportunities, and paths forward. Not afraid to roll up their sleeves. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in retail or consumer marketing, or at an agency leading integrated campaigns for luxury or jewelry brands. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and align internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, partners, and senior leadership. Strong strategic thinking and market insight with the ability to translate brand, customer and competitive insights into effective marketing initiatives. Experience leveraging data, analytics and financial metrics to connect marketing performance to pipeline, revenue and sales growth. Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams, inspire collaboration and drive results in fast-paced, high-expectation environments. Highly organized with strong project management skills, attention to detail and accountability for meeting deadlines and delivering outcomes. Self-starter comfortable operating in ambiguity, identifying opportunities and solving complex problems. Strong business acumen within retail, luxury or jewelry environments. Creative, resourceful and resilient leader who brings ideas to life and learns quickly from challenges. Willingness to work evenings or weekends and travel between Razny locations in Addison, Chicago and Hinsdale.
